I LOVE seeing people experience the wonder of periphery for the first time, but sadly many don't seem to "get" it. TLM really gets it though. Such a pleasure to see. These guys are my favourite and this song is beautiful!
Is he a musician? It seems to me a lot of non musicians don't seem to get it when a band is this good. Hell even some musicians don't either depending on what they play
This is a reaction that to me shows you’re a legit Periphery fan now; it must be tough to not just dive in to just listen to their discography. They are so good. Their song Stranger Things is a work of art
I still get goosebumps at that last high note. Heck the whole song is musically and spiritually brilliant from start to finish. It became one of my favorite songs of all time almost immediately.
Periphery is without a single doubt in my mind my favorite band of all time. As I’ve said many times before, they say “Hey, let’s make this thing slap” and they nail it every single time.
Periphery is amazing, I can't say anything else just amazing The next one you might hear is "sentient glow" or "garden in the bones" There is still a lot of Periphery to enjoy
Finally some love for sentient glow. My fav periphery song list is literally Scarlet (first song i heard by them) Sentient glow 22 faces And wax wings now lol
BROOOO you HAVE to listen to their song Ragnarok (the music video). It's got everything you'll love. PLEASE listen to it, there aren't enough reactions to it on here for how INCREDIBLE of a song it is. PLEASEEE I'd do anything to see it
Thank you, so much, for your reaction. The more I get into Periphery, the more they enter my top 5 of all time. I have this album, and it is a masterpiece. They bring it all, clean vocals, transitions, orchestration, musicianship/skill, and playfulness/humor. That this band will just transition, naturally, into jazz, or fierce metal, they're incredible. Recently I learned that they even do one on one clinics and coaching for musicians, which is also incredible. Much love to you from VA.
I think this is an example of a harder song to get into, the entire first half's verse structure and the riffs and melodies being played are kind of hard to catch onto. Combined with Spencer's more pop style vocal delivery, it's kind of a mixture of sounds that can be confusing to the ear at first. So if you can appreciate it on your first listen...respect.
Your reactions are always THE BEST!! It's like listening to these songs all over again for the first time! Great energy, I always keep coming back. Another band I think you'll really like, Sevendust. They have a new single, Fence, with a new album coming out in July!
Bugs me when people whine about his voice being too high. I used to be like that and I'm a stubborn mfer so if even I got over that shit, no one else has an excuse
Periphery - Dracul Gras, Everything is Fine, Thanks Nobuo, Stranger Things, Facepalm mute, 22 Faces, Habitual Line Stepper, jetpacks is yes v2, Motormouth, Remain Indoors, are some suggestions I have.
Periphery is made up of 5 or 6 SUPER talented musicians/gearheads who came together to make music that they want to make. For over a decade now, they have continually pushed the boundaries of the genre while staying true to their roots. Periphery will forever be my all time favorite band and having seen them twice live, I can honestly die satisfied. Glad you dug Wax Wings because personally I cannot stop listening
@@jathanthmith1519bro for me it would be Wax Wings, Atropos, Silhouette and Thanks Nobuo. But the whole album slaps harder than any other IMO and I’ve been listening to them for like 10 or 12 years
You should listen to p1 or p2. Matt's drumming was on another level on those albums. He's always played what's most tasteful but p1 and p2 really let him go wild
There is a mashup between Katy Perry and Periphery. Unbelievably good combination, none of these individual songs has any business being this good in a combination.
Good ear. Yea Spencer doesn't use auto tune except for background vocals. The main vocal lines he just does a section until he has exactly what he wants and then moves to the next. And you can tell if you see their documentaries on making the albums that there's no autotune involved because they'll often show his final takes being recorded and they're identical to the record
This has to be one of the best rock songs ever written! So cool to watch you enjoy it for the first time. You should definitely check more. Reptile is a masterpiece. Cheers🤘
Periphery songs to review: All New Materials, Jetpacks Was Yes, Heavy Heart, 22 Faces, Luck as a Constant, Absolomb, Flatline, Garden in the Bones, Blood Eagle, Reptile, It's Only Smiles.
Scrolling through RU-vid recommendations after listening to Dream Theater and finding “Reptile “ as the first song to introduce me to periphery is the best thing that’s ever happened to me
I love that every time you go to summarize because you think its the end of the song, they just hit you with something else different that stops you in your tracks. That's basically Periphery fandom in a nutshell.
Bro got a very special one for you I know you will get super lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ~Straight line stitch- Remission ~Straight line stitch- Remission ~Straight line stitch- Remission ~Straight line stitch- Remission ~Straight line stitch- Remission Please do this my brotha won't be disappointed and you might need a need keyboard lmao

Share it to everyone you know!!
I couldn't even recommend another periphery song, just literally any of them. They're all great, some of them require a few listens to get in to, but they're all masterpieces. Except Crush. Crush is the lone B+ in a crowd of As
