perm rods vs. flexi rods : which is the BEST on natural hair  

I notice for perm rods, they are super curly which after a while, i did not like. The flexi rod curls look softer, which is my preference. I'm doing a set now so i hope they come out good.🤞

I use the perm rod wraps when I do perm rod sets to avoid the snags. But I tried this last night and I already feel like my flexi rod set isn’t dry🙄 so I’m going under the dryer for an hour and praying for the best. I think I’m going to stick with the perm rods though, they are more comfortable to sleep in and seem to dry better.

Absolutely perm rods for my locs! My all time fav is to use pipe cleaners, they hold curls over a month on my locs 💕😁

Hi. I am soo glad that I found your video. I have locs as well. I've used both as well. Like yourself I find it hard to sleep with the flexi rods . I have no problem sleeping with the perm rods. When I take the perms rods out it doesn't snag my hair. What I do is that I wet my locs (with a water spray bottle) then i spray my hair with Soft Sheen Carson Wave Nouveau lightweight moisturizing Spray. Then I use the perm rods (ive been using these more often) on each single loc, like yourself. I sleep with a satin scarf and it's curled very nicely. Now the thing is with my hair is that to maintain the curls beyond a day I have to dampen my locs with either water or the lightweight spray and put the perm rods back in.

I’d do the flexi rods just bc I think that Medusa curl. It’s good to have something easier to sleep in tho haha. I’ll have to try them out!
