A simple Ayurvedic Herbal paste, No Henna and No Dyes, that gives you mild hair dye effect with gradual reversing of Grey hair to permanent natural color. This has dual benefits of temporary hair dye plus a permanent natural remedy to treat grey hair.
Must try this remedy
We will look at one simple herbal mix that nourishes hair roots, increases melanin in hair and restores hair natural color. Besides it also works like mild hair dye.
For this we need
1. Bhringraj Powder - Bhringraj is an Ayurvedic herb that can reverse grey hair and prevent premature greying of hair.
2. Hibiscus powder - Hibiscus brings back natural hair shine, smoothness and restores hair natural dark color.
3. Amla or Indian Gooseberry powder - Amla is really magical as it works like a mild dye plus activates melanin production in hair follicles. This contributes to darkening of hair in the long term.
4. Dark roast coffee - We need dark roast coffee to give that black color to the hair shafts. This gives temporary hair dye, that can last upto 2 weeks. You can take dark roast or extra dark roast for more black color.
1. Take a steel or ceramic saucepan.
2. Add 1 and half cups of water bring it to boil.
3. To this add 1 tablespoon of Dark roast coffee. Continue boiling for 5 more minutes.
4. Now switch off the stove.
5. Take a cast iron pan as shown here. You can also use steel pan, but iron one is better for this purpose.
6. Add 1 tablespoon of Bhringraj powder
7. Toss in 1 tablespoon of Hibiscus powder and 1 tablespoon of Amla powder.
8. You can add equal quantities little more if you need more quantity.
9. While Coffee decoction is still hot, filter it using a strainer and add it to these powders.
10. The coffee decotion we used is dark roast coffee which gives a nice dark color.
11. Mix the contents very well slowly to form a smooth paste.
12. If you think it is too thick you can add more coffee decoction. If you think it is too much liquid, add eqaual amounts of the powders to get a desired consistency.
13. Cover it with a lid and leave it on like that for overnight or minimum 4 hours.
14. I am opening the lid after leaving it for overnight. At this point, if you think the paste is thicker, you can add little bit more of the coffee decoction.
15. Apply this hair pack all over the scalp and hair, covering grey hairs.
16. Leave it on the hair for 1 hour and wash it away. You need not shampoo for this. Just rinsing with water is enough. But if you still want to shampoo, you can use mild shampoo.
Do it regularly at least once a week to maintain and restore dark hair color. Well, it might take two or three uses to start noticing the dark color.
