Permanently Restore Faded Plastic Make it look NEW AGAIN! This is a permanent fix! Follow along as I show you how I took the original weather faded and oxidized plastic hood and cowl and made them look factory new again without paint, clear coat, heat or scraping with razor blades. This simple process involves wet sanding and machine buffing. For my application I started out with 150 grit then progressed to 220, 320, 400 then jumped to 1500, followed by machine polishing with polishing compound and then a final polish with mirror glaze then an automotive wax to protect everything for years to come. If I can do it with great results, so can you! This is the first time I have ever tried this with plastic and the results were no less than spectacular!
