Crystal Corbin for harder languages like chinese or korean or ones with weird sentence structure it’s not reliable but for spanish or french it’s super good you just have to be careful

A good way to keep your bangs from splitting without perming then is to clip the entire bang off to one side before you sleep so that it won't be unruly in the morning! It may be a bit flat though but nothing a roller, or a hair dryer, can't fix!

@@lilangelarishi I use a tic tac pin of my 3 y/o niece and pin my bangs ever so slightly when i go to sleep. Never got any crease and they don't split.

lilangelarishi I also use one of those tic tac clip things and I've never really gotten a crease other than the odd time. All I can suggest is not clipping it too tight and don't clip your bangs when it's wet. Sometimes my bangs stay to one side after having it clipped up for a long time so I just switch sides for some time if that happens to you, too. I hope that helped in some way 😊

To avoid creases try hunting for the clips that Tina is wearing in the video, they are specifically for not creating creases. I have them got a pack from primark and they work wonders

I’ve had bangs for about ten years (but my bangs are much more full) and this is what I like to do to help maintain its shape: after my shower the night before, I blow dry my bangs about 70% dry then I roll them up in a roller (same size as Tina’s in this video) and let my hair air dry the rest of the way. Once dried, I take the roller out. It’s going to be much more curled than I like, but don’t style it, just sleep on it. In the morning it will be much less curled and then I just brush and style and my bangs maintain their shape

Haven't watched the whole video yet but so excited because I just cut my bangs two weeks ago and I'm TIRED of having to put a roller in every few hours when my bangs fall flat haha

Use a round brush when you style them in the morning. While they're wet still, put a styling cream or mousse in them, then use a fairly large round brush and blow dryer to dry them. They should stay that way all day with no problems.

I usually just wet my bangs and pin them back every night before going to bed. It works like a charm and the bangs come out straight in the morning.

I think you did a really good job. Your hair looks great! I think for anyone reading this comment, if you're going to do this at home, try to apply the roller closer to the root to really lift it. Your permed hair will relax a bit more after a few washes, so you really want the lift starting from the roots. If you have heavier bangs and your sectioned hair is a bigger portion, you should break it into 2 sections for perming, that way you have an even lift at the root, and an even curl.

I’ve had my bangs for a few months but I recently started using a mini straightener to style them instead of a roller on wet hair and I like it so much more, I have more control of it now and I think it looks much better and more natural, especially looking at it sideways as it curls more towards the bottom rather than the entire thing, but your bangs look really cute and yeah they’re annoying to keep up but I think it’s worth it :)

You don’t understand Asian hair. It’s so darn straight that it’s totally crazy to control. I had straight bangs cut when I was younger and it was a nightmare every morning I awoke. My fringe would look like a ski jump. Was so happy to grown them out!

you made me so nervous because I saw you didn't have a proper fringe section. since you want to bring the hair so far forward on the face, you can try making more layers on the sides to even it out. any time I've gotten a perm, I was instructed not to wet it or wash it for at least four days. this is because washing it can break down the perm solution and affect the permed hair. i am so glad it worked for you though! it's fantastic to see you loving your hair and yourself!

Also not a hairdresser here but I am a researcher and thus can do some science parsing! Disulfide bonds are bonds that keep proteins together and helps proteins maintain their structure, so what perms do are they literally break down the proteins in your hair (the keratin probably?) And then the second solution reforms and fixes the proteins into the new shape that you give it by rebuilding those sulfide bridges in the proteins. This is likely also the reason why hairdressers want your hair to be in tip top shape because breaking and reforming hair proteins is pretty stressful to the cuticle. Hope this helps! Edit: also I love your bangs! At home trims and roller coaster rides for the win
