Have listened to, and watched, Perry sing for at least 60 years. Singers of that era will never be equalled. Sadly, most are gone, but will live on forever in youtube, or at least 'till the last of us who remember are gone.
Even though he's not with us alive he's somewhere over the rainbow and continously singing for us with the angels around him really enjoying my time listening with his beautiful voice and a perfect smile RIP PERRY❤🙏😇🌹👍

He was quite the man, Perry was not only a person we were friends with (thanks to him) but a great talent and absolutely fantastic person! We miss him so much, you never knew what to expect from Perry, we were home one Saturday afternoon and I pick up the phone, Jeff, this is Perry. He talked for a while and told me he was out by the pool waiting for Roselle to call him to lunch, Perry there will never be anyone like you, an all around wonderful, talented person. Jeff and Linda
Avecor Mariae - the music was canned but the singing was live and he was in sync (I have the DVD). Somehow when it got loaded, it went out. I wish it could be reloaded.
I have just been sampling a number of people singing this song (not all the way) and IMO Perry does it the best. Jimmy Webb, who wrote it, doesn't have the voice for it and most of the others sing it too powerfully to be melancholy, as IMO it should be sung. Perry comes closest.
