when ever I hear some one say ' when you give your life to Jesus you become eternally secure ' my heart sinks. For if our eternal security has it's roots in a person giving their life to the Lord as we should then we are in desperate trouble. By nature I'm a ' earning points / approval person. ' The weight on me in my early Christian life was great since I measured it all by the above. Better to understand Christ's love for His Father ( and our Father in Christ ) knowing Jesus always obeys the Father and it is the Fathers will the Son should not lose one of his own...Here is security indeed Joy !

Perseverance of the saints often explains the doing and preserving the Oral traditions of the Scripture and works of God under t trials for their workmanship will be tested under God's fire.

Not very convinced by his stance and argument. Fell flat for me

Some Calvinist expert needs to explain [1] How you can lose it if you never had it?, and [2] Why would you think you ever had it if you are a *”Totally Depraved”* unregenerate reprobate?, and [3] Why would an elect Calvinist lamb need to persevere if they have been Vulcan mind-melded by the Calvinist God in such a way they can never be lost?

Here we go again, Sproul is teaching the false teaching of Persevering of the Saints or an unbiblical "Works Salvation Maintenance Program".
