My most ambitious project yet. Based on a true story, the purpose of this film is to serve as an encouragement. A motivation to those who are still grinding at their dreams, who often feel like they want to quit. A little nudge to keep on pushing despite the challenges. Not to be confused with hustle culture, this film is about what it takes when you don’t have opportunities thrown at you. I know this was a sponsored video, but if it was also a passion project, probably one of the best passion projects I have watched, maybe ever! Every shot was carefully thought out, it was simple, no need for all these stupid stock transitions, it actually told a story in a narrative based montage, not much to complain about! 🙌🔥

Thanks Nathan, that really means a lot to me, we definitely put in a lot of planning! Just a little shoutout to Nanlite... in essence this is still a passion project. Although it's fully sponsored by them they always allow me to create projects I WANT without interfering in my creative decisions. This was our concept and they approved it without waver. All they want is a killer video with a decent BTS to explain how I used their gear. They've been an amazing support over the years and I love them for it!

It's beautiful. I'm just very confused why so many people make the mistake of burning in black bars. The video should be exported in the intended aspect ratio, not 16x9 at all costs.

@Luka The Satanic Gamecat its most likely because RU-vid doesn't let you add end cards to non-mainstream aspect ratios, and then you just crop the video afterwards out of force of habit even if you're not adding an end card

@@NathanVMountain I don't know what an "end card on a RU-vid video" is... :) But whatever it is, it's not more important than making your video look ridiculous on any screen with other than a 16x9 aspect ratio.

I absolutely love this production ❤. As a student, studying in Film: 🎥 Research and Production at The University of Birmingham, UK, this short film inspires me. I love the creativity, but it also motivates me to follow my passion in life which is filmmaking. I would love to be a Producer. Furthermore this appeals to me as I can understand the story behind this film. As a student with dyslexia as well as physical health and mental health problems, I feel so motivated by this film; it's purpose in showcasing that in life, there isn't always an easy shortcut to success. We need to put in the hard work time and effort to succeed in achieve our dreams. I can genuinely relate to the morals and message of this film ❤

I like the way that the scene at 2:36 seems to be a mirrored version of the one at 00:56, where the actor is walking in the same direction. The difference is that now we're seeing the shot from behind the actor! Everything for that golden hour shot! LOVE YOUR WORK BROTHER!
