Persian Fire Festival, March 2018 

In the evening of the last Tuesday before Iranian new year (Nowrouz), there is a fire festival with its roots dating back to ancient Zoroastrian traditions. During this festival, people set-up bonfires in the streets and jump over them to cleanse themselves of all the misfortunes and impurities of the past year and they get ready to welcome the new year ahead.
