Bought some new washing detergent and apparently it can clean in as little as 15 minutes, but does it? Results were surprising at the end

I have recently bought this persil Wonder Wash, and I think it's really good. I'm going to stick with this new persil Wonder Wash to I just don't know how to measure it correctly as there's no markings on the cap
@dcstanda
@dcstanda 4 месяца назад
An odd way of doing it is put the cap on a set of digital weighing scales turn it on then pour out the measurement as 1g also equates to 1ml

If u read the bottle,it says how much to put in the cap😊

If you're gonna prove how good washing powder is, use white stuff with stains on it lmao 🤣🤣

Well if it helps you, I have the Persil Wonder Wash, the Non-Bio one like in the video. I had spilled coffee on my white sheets, which I shouldn’t have, but it was left for 4 days. I put it in the washer on Speed 14 (I have an LG similar to that one) and the sheets were pristine, even only on 14 minutes. And also the scent is amazing, it’s stronger than any fabric conditioner and is still strong after the dryer, although I personally don’t rate the scent of the other two.

Funny you should say that I've got to edit a video where I use whites with it on a 59 min cycle

Thanks for the video. Tomorrow I’ll give this a try as I’ve just purchased some. My other half lives in the Philippines and 99% of top washers there don’t use heating elements and we use Percil and a few others and stains are always removed. I use the lowest heating in my washer here in the U.K. and it works great so I hope this liquid is a winner too.

This is surprising how it could clean in 15 minute washes since 15 minute cycles aren’t known to clean anything it is just gonna encourage more and more of the public to constantly use those horrible 15 minute cycles meaning machines will go mouldier and smellier, I would rather use that detergent on a more appropriate cycle like a regular 1 hour setting!
@tprods2087

Thank god they're expensive put it that way 🤣
@NickCaruana

curious, how is it going to make the machine mouldy?
@tprods2087
@tprods2087 3 месяца назад
@@NickCaruana Extortionately low temperatures and liquid detergents deteriorate your machine's door seal over time and cause it to smell because of bacteria build up. This is why more machines today recommend drum cleaning to clean your machine, because modern washers are going down this route of low temperature washes to save energy
@NickCaruana
@NickCaruana 3 месяца назад
@@tprods2087 To be fair, I always wash everything at 20°C, but then every time the tcl comes up on the display I run Tub Clean. But I do believe that hot cycles can too have impact on machine life span. If the machine is run using a warm temperature, there’s a certain amount of residual heat after the cycle is completed. This, and residual detergent makes for a very good host for bacteria, it thrives in humidity. Thankfully, most new machines don’t only recommend a tub clean, but they also feature anti-microbial components such as the drawer and door seal, so bacteria is killed within 24 hours of contact anyways. I can honestly say that since having this machine it’s not smelled bad once, even only having used 20°C for most of its lifespan. I think that either way you go, it will affect the washer in time.

I recommend Calgon the green box if you persist on using cold short cycles. This version of Calgon softens water and contains a disinfectant, hard water causes limescale build up and bacteria can thrive beneath it, it will also cause a breakdown

I think it means 15 mins as in 15 min wash, then rinses (such as a 30min cycle!). But yeah great results none the less. Wonder how it will do with dried in grease? Also did you like the smell?
@dcstanda
@dcstanda 4 месяца назад
Yes loved the smell (well this one anyway) they have a pink one which is OK blue not so keen on. I am going to stain a bedsheet which is going to go on my kitchen floor at its not a massive kitchen and going to do stain it as much as I can for a week and wash it and see how it goes
@NickCaruana

Also, the scent on the Non-Bio one is LUSH! Smells like an expensive scent you’d use as a spray or shower wash, and the scent is strong, even after drying in the dryer.

My son works in a fast food place and he comes home smelling of grease but we used this on his uniform and it removes the greasy smell. I will be using it on all his work clothes

Hi, I got my persil Wonder wash today as it was on offer at Tesco, so i got it with my club card from £7 to £3.50. I'm just wondering, does it still hold that Persil great freshness on such a short washing cycle?

Does anyone know can you use this in your machine instead of the draw put it in a container and place it in the drum?
@dcstanda
@dcstanda 2 месяца назад
You can do that, I just think that they recommend that you put it in the draw as it will get mixed in with the water and the tumbles to help aid with the detergent

@@dcstanda thanks I will try it I’m just used to using my old Persil Colour with the container and in the drum. Surely if you put this Persil in the draw slot does it not just drain away down the slot at the back asap because it’s a fine liquid? I’ve literally bought this yesterday for colours I got the ultra care one

@@NickCaruana personally white sheets should go on a hot wash! They won’t stay white for very long and it’s not very hygienic!
@NickCaruana
@NickCaruana 3 месяца назад
@@TheLaunderetteExplorer_uk I don’t make habit of using the Speed 14 cycle, I tend to use the AI wash (determines fabric type, and alters wash agitation) but always at 20°C, and I use biological laundry detergent. Biological laundry detergent contains enzymes that emulsify proteins, and proteins is what makes up skin cells and sweat, or even food stains, among other stains that can be caused by the body such as blood. These enzymes can actually denature in a hot cycle like 90°C, all be it still work at 40°C, they also work perfectly fine at 20°C too, so my sheets are perfectly clean and white. I do on the rarest occasion wash them at 40°C, but that’s as high as I’ll do them, as that’s what’s instructed on the care label.
