This will be the persona game I jump into

But pretty small, has only like 3 games. Kind of weird.

​​@@saulsulca5010 probably there won't be any anime cut scenes so the can replace MC with FEMC the cheapest way possible, and add both routes (at least that's what I'm hoping for?) And 7 months aren't that much time in game development btw

If they keep the vibe and dark tone of the original, then I am fine with either.

@@harrierdubois9961 Regardless of the fact that people are totally jumping the gun again just because anime cutscenes aren't part of a reveal trailer - which could easily be a stylistic choice - 7 months are more than enough time to produce 30 to 45 minutes worth of them.

@@glitchman1272 For me, Atlus either brings back the OG English cast, along with Vic as Junpei or they recast the english dub. And besides, those who dragged Vic’s name through the mud and got him fired were just jealous of how much praise he got for voicing Broly in DBS: Broly.

I am one of those "purists". As an example of how much of a purist I am, I think being unable to control your party was a very good game mechanic. I played Persona 4 and Persona 5(originals, didn't buy golden or royal) without controlling my party members. But, I'm fine with the remake existing. When it comes to remakes, I'm the kind of person who employs the wait and see approach. I might be a day 2 purchaser, or I might not purchase it. I have no idea.

The gun barrel UI was just amazing UI design and soo cool and unique and they switched it for…. A crescent moon? That’s being generous to their possible idea… now if the new UI changes with the moon cycle that would be top tier and just as good as the gun UI

I mean, Persona 3 had a lot of really cool design and UI decisions. Complaining about their absence is valid.

@Jenny Melo Well technically you could say that Persona was a first party exclusive considering that from 1996-2020, persona games were only playable on Playstation. Persona 4 Golden came to PC in 2020 and then Persona 5 came to Xbox, PC and Switch last year. Other than that it is weird people are mad its on multiple platforms now.

I'm pretty sure they want to show off the engine but I prefer the anime cutscenes so far but who knows my opinion might change when I fully see it

@@rayvenkman2087 but here’s the thing: The Anime cutscenes have been part of the persona franchise’s core identity. I think that they replaced them with in-engine so that it would be easier to incorporate the FeMC route without the need to create completely different drawings for the two routes

@@OOFUS4103 agree but i can kind of understand the redundancy of it since there's already like four persona 3 movies out there with some of the best looking anime cutscenes in all of persona. replacing them with in-engine cutscenes sounds to me like a plausible way of keeping things fresh, (and also incorporating the FeMC route if it does become a thing)

Hola, verás, la versión que estás jugando es un port de Persona 3 PORTABLE (originalmente lanzado para la PSP). Esa versión no tiene modelados 3D fuera de las secciones del Tartarus. Toda la historia está narrada (salvo en partes muy puntuales) usando texto e imágenes estáticas. Los elementos 3D de la comparativa se encuentran en las versiones original y FES (lanzadas para PS2). Es por eso que muchos dicen que no hay versión "definitiva" de Persona 3 hasta la fecha (en cada version se omiten cosas interesantes, por poner ejemplos: en FES hay todo un epilogo jugable luego de la historia original, pero no puedes controlar a tu party de forma manual; en Portable tienes la opción de jugar como una protagonista que cambia cosas como el soundtrack, dialogos y social links, pero no tienes otra forma de explorar que no sea con el cursor, ni tienes el epilogo ya mencionado).

Persona 4 Golden is the remake of 4 and it looks great. It has a new character and dungeon over the original and new anime cutscenes. 1 and 2 definitely do need remakes at some point though.

​@@Mika_KusanagiSubjective, i think that p3 is the worst of the last persona. P4>>p5≥p3 Tartarus was done poorly compared with the others, so many rooms, limited progress to dates, characters are great though but not great enough to compensate tartarus.

Now, the entire plot goes around the protagonist being the one who was at some point 10 years ago, when something happened and thus he/she became the bearer of the thing that becames the most important thing in the game. The one who makes the protagonist be able to enter the velvet room... Exact definition of plot armor.

@@Iker5555 Ah I see what you're saying. However given how certain things happen in the game. One could argue that if it was truly plot armor then certain things wouldn't end up happening (don't wanna get too specific in case someone gets spoiled)

@@Iker5555 Not plot armor, he was chosen as someone with a twisted fate, so he was given the Wild Card. That's what MADE him the protagonist, not the other way around. Had it been plot armor, the wild card would've been given to him for being the MC, this is not the case. This happens in every Persona game, the Wild Card could've been given to anyone, and whoever's chosen will be the eyes we'll see the story through.

Persona 3 Reload is Person 3 spruced up to look and play on par with Persona 5. It won't include the additional content added in the FES or Portable versions of P3.

Because Tartarus is legit based on Greek hell (in a way). So they really don't need to change anything, but we still have yet to see.

Yo opino que es mejor un estilo homogéneo antes de tener un juego plagado de diferentes estilos por doquier, donde hay cortes y transiciones. Pero en fin, igual tampoco a todo el mundo le cae bien que GOW sea plano secuencia y preferiría el estilo de antes.

The 3 previous Persona games all have a color associated with them. P5 turned it up to 11 with its use of red so now the remake of P3 is doing something similar with its blue aesthetic.

it really doesnt, just because its new doesnt mean its persona 5. The character designs are completely different than what soejima would do, also visually the games engine is much more focused on the characters in cutscenes rather than the character portraits.

It's Atlus, all their games look like PS3 games.
