"Remember that you are mortal. Remember you will die" Can easily just be a phrase meant to emphasize the importance of living a fulfilling life while you have it. Which is a big theme of the game that could easily exist without MC dying at the end. Honestly, I just thought MC fell asleep when I first played it, but him dying doesn't really change anything for me anyways, the silent personality-less protag dying does not mean much to me. Literally any other character dying would have probably gotten a tear from me, no idea how people were attached to MC at all.
@@codyb.3015 Silent protags are a means to convey our own feelings and perspectives into the game without feeling out-of-character or unconventional, because you are your own character essentially. When we lose the only lens through with we interact with a story, a world, a cast of characters, we ourselves are impacted emotionally as if we were in the same shoes of the characters surround our perspective, even though we are in 1st-person, we also are in 3rd-person, shaping and watching the character's growth. You not bawling your eyes out just means that you didn't feel that much emotionally attached to the character, and that's not for me to say you're a heartless husk and all. But no where does it justify bashing others' feelings and attachment when they enjoyed and related to and sympathized with the character. Everyone has their own preferences, so don't go forcing yours onto others that way.
@@codyb.3015It's less about MC and more about how the rest of SEES felt about it. Especially Aigis since she had the closest connection to the protag.
The instrumental in this version is SO good, but the vocals make it feel like it's a fan cover. The original singer brings the needed intensity to the chorus.
i wish the instrumentals were quieter and the vocals were louder, but other than that i really enjoy this version. ofc it doesnt beat the og but i dont think that was ever the intention
@@hobohabsburg8447If you're making music, and especially in this case, remaking a soundtrack with the intention of doing it better than something that's already highly praised, then you shouldn't be making music. Each song was crafted to have its own feel, which is extremely obvious when looking at tracks composed by Kitajoh and tracks composed by Meguro (which, BTW, a lot of the tracks in Reload like Unavoidable Battle, the Tartarus music, and Joy just to name a few, are all re-arranged by Meguro himself!)
@@hobohabsburg8447 only remix that I honestly found better was probably changing seasons, since that one felt like it matched the energy of other songs in the og p3
i went searching for this video before I decided to make my own and nothing came up!!! and NOW it shows up in my recommended!!! what the fuck!! i actually really like the reload version, after listening to it a bunch on Spotify. Definitely doesn't carry the same 'oomph' as the original, but I think it works well as its own song. I understand people who are used to the original version REALLY disliking it, but as someone with no attachment to the original I think it's pretty good.
