@@matthewhanf3033Narratively I guess it kinda makes sense that they would suck, given that they are failed experiments. But the fact that those three lead to the Nyx fact make them feel even more pathetic.
@@Snipfragueur Honestly, not a very good excuse. If anything, they should be able to do heavy damage, but come with drawbacks when they do indeed use their Personas, like Tier 4 skills making them unable to act for a turn
I mean, Aigis didn't have her weaknesses covered. He could no longer target weaknesses after Aigis went down. At this point I want to see what happens if everyone at the very start has their weaknesses covered, or solo protag with a persona that can't be hurt by anything but almighty.
@@kichiroumitsurugi4363 Actually, he still says it at the beginning of the fight. The no weakness comment just comes right after making it that much funnier. Did it on my first run and loved it.
Made me think of that one P4Au Milpy video where his buddy combos him with a Liz ToD that lasts over 17 seconds. "*Gasps* Noo! No! Nonononono--!" *Dies* "Yo GGs dude!"
Jin whines about you covering your weakness Elizabeth if you put drain and null resistance send you to the afterlife in short Elizabeth just go and be like try again.

I think because it's tied to the story progression? Like you're gonna be hard stuck if you can't defeat Strega but you can grind Tartarus in one sitting if you want to and that's why it's difficulty spike is quite significant as you can rush Tartarus in your own pace but story progression's pace is fixed
@@hemera5518This doesn't really make sense in regards to the Adamah encounters, since those are always on the last day, during which you can just grind on Tartarus as much as you like
Atlus must've been on a bender when designing Strega gameplay-wise, especially this fight. Did nobody look at the stats the player was likely to have and then Strega's and realize the issues? Also, who the hell thought giving Jin an attack that enrages four enemies without having Repel Physical when Strega is already as underpowered as they are was a good idea, especially for one of the penultimate bosses? At least Strega are miles better in Reload, they're actually a big challenge. The fight on the Moonlight Bridge is currently the hardest fight I've experienced so far in P3R.
@@andrewaragooand0 I completed the showdown at the Moonlight Bridge in one attempt as well, but it was a very close fight. After beating the game, I can day that the final battles against Jin and Takaya individually on the Promised Day are even harder. They're the polar opposite of this fight in the best way possible. Although fittingly, Nyx was by far the hardest boss in the playthrough for me, but also definitely the most fun. Super long and very hard, but it never felt dull or tedious to me.
@@Izanagi-h2t Yes, there’s equipment in the game that covers each element so you can cover every party members weakness (For example there’s an item that’s makes you null to ice which is good for Akihiko etc). There’s also the omnipotent orb which makes you null to all elements (except almighty). In Reload when Jin tries to hit your teams weaknesses and you covered them all up he gets mad and spams grenades constantly at you for cheating 🙃
If I had a nickel for every time I saw Jin dying because he used Infuriate in a video, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice
@@astralguardian5930 "Here's a special treat just for you." *Uses EX flash grenade, almighty attack with 200 attack power that has a chance to confuse.*
I died cause I expercted him to be a puss over but nah he stood on business Can’t say the same about nyx, even on my first play through on hard the only thing that scared me was the flashbacks of psp nyx
Strega in reload cheat, not sure about the original. When you hit them down to a certain percentage of health they stop taking damage until they do their little cutscene It's painfully obvious when you use Armageddon on Takaya and deal 1/8 of his health bar
I swear if they don’t buff Strega up that’ll be the most disappointing thing for me :) At least we have the hard Tartarus bosses, but there’s something cool about having rival human characters that are ACTUALLY challenging
I always felt like Strega was supposed to be weak though. Their entire thing is they are literally dying. It's like beating up a cancer patient, but the cancer patient has a gun.
@@mudkipgames8542I really wish the community would stop using this as an excuse to have some of the worst most boring bosses mechanically. They were never meant to be easy, yes their thing is that their personas are killing them, but it’s also blatantly explained that it’s killing then cause their bodies aren’t naturally used to them being forced on them, or the fact that said personas are exceedingly strong, Shinji being the blatant example, a powerhouse of a character you barely have time to abuse. They were never meant to be easy, Atlus just designed some crap bosses
It's funny because out of all the enemy Persona users in the modern games, Black Mask (P5) is basically the only one with a fight that's not a letdown. Strega is plain bad, the Killer (P4) is basically an intro for the REAL boss, and the Royal final boss is a special case that shouldn't really be counted.
I like to imagine that it was like: Kotone: Wait, did he just throw a grenade at Aigis? Yukari: I think he did, but why are y- Kotone: YOU'RE ASS IS GRASS AND I'M THE WEEDWACKER!
Three things you should never do in Persona: 1. Try to put your hand through your TV screen at midnight. 2. Walk home alone in the evening when a Japanese politician who probably also failed art school is in the area, steaming drunk. 3. Throw frag grenades at Robot Waifu and then immediately cast Infuriate on Robot Waifu's girlfriend who just watched her blow up.
I mean they change it in reload cause jin is pathetic in the original and p3p when he cant abuse your weaknesses they probably buffed up the strega fight cause they are bosses you fight before nyx.
My MC could solo the Reaper before I progressed to January 31. This goober didn’t even get a turn, lol. I came to RU-vid so I could see what his Persona looked like. In hindsight I regret grinding, because the endgame was way too easy.
When i fought him, Mitsuru was on my team and she kept getting knocked down by his fire spells but its the fact he only kept going after HER and nobody else simply because she had weakness to fire and a large hp 😂 Me and Aegis kept on beating his ass and Ken just stood there healing Mitsuru it was so funny
Challenge related reasons. The clip was taken from my Yukari Orpheus/Thantos only playthrough and I had to take 2 other members before being allowed to do any story boss fights so I had to wait until the other two die before I can attack the boss. Junpei and Aigis were at their starting level with no experience or armor besides a null wind accessory I had.
The fight becomes too easy when jin cant abuse your weakness generally jin would spam attack a unit weak to the element he has he would focus on that char so he gets extra turns making it a slightly harder fight but when you cut off his extra turns he cant do a lot.
