I don't think she failed... saying that, I didn't played the Answer yet (heard very negative things about it), but Aigi's character development in P3 is just right imo, she has a proper A to B

Should anyone want to recreate or animate their own versions: The face and head is static, but the only things that move are hair and clothing, so I recommend drawing the head and face separate and animating the hair and clothes. The video is in 60fps, and there are 7 unique frames of animation that loops, with each cell staying active for 7 frames. This means that the loop goes on for 49 frames for 60 fps. If you want to translate to an animation of 24 fps, then that's 7 frames, animated in 3's (3 frames per shot). The entire animation itself lasts 2 seconds (120 frames in 60fps, or 48 frames in 24fps). The flames, sparkles, ripples, and bubbles last this long without looping back properly, but they remain ultimately the same for every character, so if animate this one first, you're pretty much set to reuse the animation for any character you want. These effects are animated in 2's (each frame is active for 2 frames) in 60fps, but can be translated to bein animated in 1's in 24fps if you want to be accurate as possible. I do not blame you if you intend to animate the effects in 3's as well to lighten the load to 16 frames total. The light source tends to be coming from below, either directly or at either side of the character. Do not forget the rim-lighting. Do not forget to add the reflection of what appears to be buildings at the character's eyes. The actual reflection is the same for all characters, so save a separate image to be reused for the reflections. tl;dr: If you want to animate this: 1) In 24fps, characters are animated with 7 frames, lasting 3 frames each. Animation lasts for 2 seconds, so 48 total frames. The final frame may have to last 2 frames to loop back properly, or add an eight frame to even it out. 2) Face is static, and only loose elements like hair, fur, and clothing are animated. Recommended to draw the face on a separate layer, and then the animated parts on a different layer on top of the face. 3) Effects and background are animated in 1's, last the entire 2 seconds, and do not loop properly. Feel free to animate in 2's or 3's to lighten the load. 4) Light source is below the character, but also behind for rim-lighting. 5) There's a reflection in the eyes, and is shared between all characters. Recommended to create separate images to be used as the reflections to save time.
As someone who actually found Persona 5's cut-in animations to be less impactful and satisfying than P3 and P4's this game's cut-ins WAY MORE than make up for it. Like holy shit they're so satisfying whenever the explode onto the screen!

Strega's cut-ins were not present in any trailer or marketing material and neither was Elizabeth's cut-in, hence why I marked them spoilers. Where they appear in the game had no effect on my decision to put up a spoiler warning.
You complain that, this spoiler warning didn't make sense, but in actuality it is a well placed spoiler warning that may make people not receive unwanted spoilers from the video. It's better to have the warning than not having it, smartass. The creator did a good job!

Maybe hindsight is 20/20 but I feel like Ken is the most intense out of _everyone._ Lil guy is 100% locked in, you can really feel his story in that stare.
S.E.E.S cut-ins gives the impression of flow or submersion into water. They are fully focused and literally immersed into their fight. While Strega's Cut-ins are quite literally boiling water. They're pissed off and they will use all of their burning inner anger against you without any drawbacks.
