That's because of his story, he was an ordinary cop but when he got the power of going in TV's and having magatsu Izanagi, his dance slowly turned psychotic and he moves much more and enjoys it.

There was a part which showed he was a puppet, and a part where he almost sneaks around Yu.

@@Rain-me8fd the dance shows it too.. he's doing these chaotic moves and thrn half way he softens up and looks like he's going to pick up a flower or something but then it's revealed he's just a puppet on a string (hence that part in this dance when he is being played with like a puppet)

1.) This is a dream. He isn't facing any actual shadows. That's why it's the dream stage and not Magatsu Inaba. 2.) Magatsu-Izanagi would probably be a bass as well, to fit the theme of being a twisted form of Izanagi.

@@WELCOMEHOMEBONE bruh, Akechi didn't get off free at all 😐 *Spoilers for Persona 5 and 5 Royal:* he dies twice presumably, and the ending of Royal is clearly not him just walking by a train in broad daylight despite likely being a wanted criminal. It's just to say that he might still be out there somewhere. Nobody forgives him and nobody but joker accepts him either. The phantom thieves begrudgingly work alongside him because having someone as strong as Akechi sharing a common goal is just a net positive for them. (Please get your research straight before commenting about Akechi and claiming he's completely blameless)

That's my favorite part too. Adachi's dance might be my favorite in the whole game, not necessarily because it's the "best" dance or even my favorite song, but because of how many little visual homages are in it. A comment in another thread explains how pretty much the whole thing is an interpretive dance of Adachi's journey as a character, but my favorite bits are probably 1:40 , where it looks kinda similar to him talking in-battle where he's pointing his gun at the team, and 4:02 is like his hunched over in-battle idle animation.

Adachi performed an interpretive danced that basically told his story in P4.

+TheHappy_P0tat0 I can't tell most of these aside from throwing into a TV and being possessed by Ameno-Sagiri.

TylightDark Basically the beginning is him receiving his power and discovering how "in control" he was up to the point where he began to enjoy his power and his role in the murders. Before Yu enters, his puppet dance could be symbolic to how he, himself, feels like his life is on rails and that no matter how hard he tries, he'll never truly have control of his life and will always get the short end of the stick unless he makes a friend, as evident by him being possessed by the Sagiri and by Izanami controlling the strings the whole time. He doesn't appear here but Yu enters when the music kicks back in and they dance in sync with each other but never together and they also turn their backs to each other quite frequently, Yu also, at one point, reaches out to Adachi only to have him knock the hand away and swipe at him. This is a representation of their relationship: they're both similar and have taken the same paths but they differed from each other in the end. After that Adachi dances like he did at the beginning but now he looks more comfortable, this could be a representation of how he has come to terms with what he's done and has decided to follow his own rules and no one else's, in order to finally gain control of the life he could never tame.

Yu is supposed to be around 5 ft 11 in, which is somewhat tall for a Japanese person. Funny thing is that Kanji is even taller than Yu at around 6 ft. even.
