@@rox1419 If your cutscenes are lagging, then it's an issue with your PC. I am able to watch the cutscenes smoothly with no lag at all. Check your PC Specs with the Minimum and Required Specs on the Steam Store page for P4G, just in case. Hope that helps!
Cyber Space thanks. My laptop is several years old and definitely isn’t the best for gaming (hopefully I can get a new one soon), but it can run the rest of the game decently so idk
@@Ivannnnnnmmd It IS a direct port from PS2 (Or PS Vita, I don't remember?) But I agree, it shouldn't have so much shit wrong with it for a PS2 Era game. It's badly optimised in that case, since I think my RAM, Graphics Card, Processor and all that jazz are only a year out of date. (Which I know is quite old, considering today's manufacturing speed for PC Parts.) But if I have any issues with the game I'll probably point them out.

The amount of times I considered buying a Vita for the soul purpose of this game is very high. Good things come for those who wait. Edit: Some jerk posted a spoiler as a response to this comment so please be careful.
Vita is great! I bought the P4G on steam but I still think playing On vita would be much better because persona 1-4 games are the best played on handheld consoles:) and that way you can take the game anywhere, or even simply just play in bed haha
Hopefully bringing Persona 4 Golden to PC will help bring more talk and popularity to the series just like how Joker's inclusion to Smash Ultimate did for Persona 5. It's my favorite game in the Persona series, so I really hope that will be the case.
tried it both on my pc and laptop, My pc run with no problem My laptop runs with 60fps ingame and Stutters a lot in animated cutscenes still waiting for the patch
Prepare yourself because his legend will later arrive to switch, ps5, smartphones and xbox series x. The only place it won't reach is stadia, because it's more dead than vita.
I adore this game. These characters are so well-written that I considered them actual friends and was heart-broken when I completed the game. Truly a masterpiece.

I mean people have been begging for this tbh though. There wasnt any really good way to play the golden version because of how problematic PSP and vita emulation is, itsalso only the second time p4 has been rereleased if u dont count downloadable for ps3.
you can emulate them, the only persona games we couldn't emulate on pc were p4g and p5r, now we need only p5r and we have the whole persona series on pc
Persona 1 has a pc port...it's just really old and was only available in Japan. Also there's like no footage of it on the internet outside of someone uploading some back in March of this year. Ok the persona 1 port is bad, like really bad.
@@abshehwy272 ATLUS isn't making any money from emulation though so they might still put official ports on steam which is way better than emulation. Persona 2 IS and EP need to be rereleased localized in the U.S because the localization was a mess and you have to play P2 IS on PSP and P2 EP on PSOne. Though I'd take a gamble and say P5R would be the next to make the leap to Steam since it's the most recent and would get the most attention.
really enjoying the pc port so far, but I've noticed a few glitches (such as animated cutscenes getting skipped for no reason and low framerates with default graphics settings when my PC is able to run games such as D2 on max graphics settings). But I can imagine these issues will be fixed soon enough.
@@ZigsYT you should be able to force the program to use the graphics card, in nvidia computers you can go to the nvidia control center or something, try googling it
Dungeon banter also isn't playing for me on the PC port. The dungeon music fades out as if a character is speaking but there's no voiced dialog. I'm also having an issue with the game locking up? It doesn't sound like anyone else is having the issue and it's only mildly annoying but other than that, I'd say it's a great port! Definitely worth the $20!
@@yogurtgaminglol I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure no one talks during dungeon-crawling, such as spotting a shadow or finding a chest. Unless you're talking about when you are in combat?
I played the original game on ps2 and the intro was a lot better back then. Nearly everytime I started the game I would stop to listen to it and some year later when the anime came around and I remembered the game I even managed to download the song and listen to it sometimes.
it fully took me 2 seconds to realise I was an idiot for expecting this to be different or actually be ripped from the steam version lol. The guy definitely just took an existing video on yt and gave it a new title

I think it's an issue the expanded versions (Golden and Royal in particular suffer from this) all share in that they don't really share the themes of the game like the original. About the only one that does do it well is P3P, and we do not speak of FES' "attempt". That being said, all the songs bop so all is forgiven right.
DCLawliet i personally don’t think they need, or should attain to the original themes of the intros in base games. the first intros are always a bit mysterious and enigmatic, but the definitive versions always assume you know or have heard of the cast and plot, so it’s taken a little less seriously
I started with Persona 5, and the moment I saw this was announced for PC I IMMEDIATELY picked it up. I just started but I'm already loving everything about it.
