P3 has the best themes P5 has the best story/visuals but P4 by far has the best characters. By the end of the game I felt like I was actually friends with all these guys.
I haven’t even played the game (sadly because I don’t have the console or pc to do so) but i’ve watched the social ranks and bits of the anime and man it made me feel like i had some friends for once
I love yet hate this game. It gave me such joy to play, so many emotions and great memories, that now I cannot go in blind and play this game again. When I played that game, I was absorbed nearly every day, playing to late hours with dark in my room. It was such great times but sadly I will never be able to get the feelings as I know the plot. It's a masterpiece game that I would recommend to anyone.
Tell me why you did it, every dream falling apart Tell me why you did it after the promise Still aching, still aching, oh baby I need your love Looking so different, glaring street light Heartbeat, heartbeat, it keeps on pounding Heartbreak, heartbreak, you tell me goodbye Heartbeat, heartbeat, it keeps on pounding Heartbreak, heartbreak, you tell me goodbye Heartbeat, heartbeat, it keeps on pounding Heartbreak, heartbreak, you tell me goodbye Heartbeat, heartbeat, it keeps on pounding Heartbreak, heartbreak, you tell me goodbye
Me : { reads the Lyrics } "No this must be an illusion created by the Fog!" Yu : This is the power of the truth! Me : "The music sounds happy but the lyrics sound so sad!" Yu : Welcome to Atlus Games!
This song is actually addicting. I tried clicking off when the lyrics ended, but the background music is so smooth that it’s hard to end it at a good point, you know? Then the lyrics start up again and I feel obligated to let it go another round. Fast forward 20 minutes and the RU-vid video has to step in to break the loop for me by force.
@@belmontzar Compared to the rest of the megaten games tho? Like yeah these games have some serious dark parts but it's still small compared to the suffering of people in past games.
@@nobleradical2158 well yeah almost all of them are set during an apocalyptic scenario with Demons all over the place and Millions dead many times before the game even starts. The only game series that has a more effed up setting in those cases is Fallout, and Megaten can make Fallout seem somewhat cheerful at times
@@posyonose14 you should play the original persona 4 and 5 if you can. They're pretty much the same but will give a different vibe. (And are harder) and it'll make you appreciate golden and royal a lot more.
@@realquestforgreatness the thing is that golden and p4 are linked, golden is just an extra cutscene in the true ending, and by the time I'm writing this comment I already completed the original p5, almost done with royal
I finished Persona 4 for the first time a month ago and for some reason listening to this track gives me some massive nostalgic vibes even though I played it not too long ago.
I know, right? I can't help but get so nostalgic over this song, probably because you actually feel like you've forged strong friendships with the investigation team
@@realquestforgreatness early '00s were the best dude! Anime was just getting popular here and the best games of all time like Halo, GTA trilogy, Persona 4, and Half Life 2 to name a few came out of this era Times were simple and fun, take me back!
@@krimsonkatt ok, still gives me the same vibes the ps2 didn’t drop in 2008 so like those vibes I feel from this music make me feel like the early 2000’s because I remember playing the ps2 for years- and not just in 2008 you go ahead and make yourself feel better tho normally ppl do nice things for one another.
Literally my favorite piece of videogame music ever. It's got that Super Mario Bros theme thing: you can listen to it on an eternal loop without going mad.
I used to hear bits and pieces of this games OST all the time from friends and now that the games out on Steam I totally get it. I'm only 8 hours into the game and it's been pretty fun (why does Yukiko sound like a middle aged woman in the Dub though?) Coming off of Persona 5/P5R it feels nice to play something similar yet very different. Cant wait to play more after just one more listen of this...
Played it with Japanese voices even though I don't understand anything, but it's still better than the English dub. The voices just fit better. And no I'm not the "dub is always worse" kind of person, it's just that in this game, Japanese voices fit the characters better.
@@battler_zz Exactly. One of the reasons I never suspected Adachi was because his voice just made him look so simple and clueless. When I heard his English voice in the videos I watched, something was off-putting. He sounded a bit too serious for his character.
With most music, I listen to it a lot and really like it but then get tired of it. With this song and Signs of love, I have listened to it AT LEAST once a day for the past 2 years and love the music more then ever.
@@yunarukami14 When you're young and poor, piracy is a blessing, that's what I used to do, I'd pirate the odd game then buy it for real if I really liked it and wanted to support the devs
The S.E.E.S Organization and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts were more of like minded people united under one cause. Brothers and sisters in arms. The Investigation Team? They were a family.
Same. I started with persona 5 then royal last march/april but this past summer i played persona 3 and the og persona 4 then just now i beat golden. I didn't think id say this but persona 4 may very well be my favorite.
I ain't never owned a playstation or played anything near persona style games but this song, sights of love, and your affections are jams and i found it through memes
Well at least you can play this persona, it got a PC port 2 months ago, Persona 3 works amazing on PCSX2 and Persona 5 is pretty decent on RPCS3 (no royal though :/ )
@@y.o.g711 I also own a 2012 samsung laptop, I've played the PSP version of persona 3 in here without problems! totally recommend giving it a try, but I haven't played persona 4, I don't think that our laptops can't run it even if it is an old game lol
I started playing this game on pc for the first time when it cameout on steam. The moment they gave me control of yu this music starts. I had to stop for like 5 mins while i took in the music.
So uh, recently I moved in with my mom to rehabilitate as I've made some bad decisions with my life and in school, (I'm a sophomore for context), and my mom lives out here in the boonies of washington state, where I come from the city of St. Louis, now let me just say- -City kid moving to the country, check -Moving due to personal/behavioral issues, -Goes to school in a small country town out nowhere -Has a small motley crew of friends is it just me, or am i seeing some unsettlingly similar parallels with my life as of now and Persona 4/5
One of the great things about the Persona series is they're pretty easy to project yourself into. They keep the back stories vague (for the most part) yet common/relatable, and same goes for the archetypes of all the characters. Hence why you can almost always look at a character and go "Oh he reminds me of this guy I know" or "She reminds me of this girl I dated in high school". The slice of life realism mixed with the fantastical elements gives this feeling of nostalgia and relatability I feel other games have tried to replicate but have failed. And Persona 4 is a great example at making you feel right at home since it takes place in a small rural town, which is much more grounded than a big city or a crazy kingdom, which most games usually gravitate to.
I made a HUGE mistake on choosing the normal version of Persona 4 golden on Steam instead of the deluxe edition that includes the digital soundtrack. The music in the game is simply great
play Persona series ))) I started from P4G - game is epic and interesting. Plot is incredible and music so cool as you can see ) After P4G, I have played Persona 3(installed P2 Emulator and uploaded game). Persona 3 is more dark and cool part of Persona series. If you aren't looking for bad graphics, suggest or prefer to play P3 ))) Fight system is different and old from new series(P4 and P5). After P3 I started to play P5 in PC (Uploaded PS3 Emulator and configured for my PC) - awesome and interesting game ) Cool soundtracks, interesting plot and characters. Unfortunately I can't play P5 Royal, because game only works in PS4(p.s: don't have PS4, only PC). Every part will take 80-120 hours of gameplay ) P4G is the best for me )
After watching this for the xth time, just realized those meatball looking things were served to the P5 crew as well , with akechi having the "special" one
I don’t have persona 4 but I think it’s still ok to like it in 2020. Like ocarina of time is 23 years old! And people still like! So it’s ok to like a 12 year old game
lol of course it is. why wouldn't it be 'okay'? it's not like you'd get beaten up or something. The bible is thousands of years old yet people still enjoy that, right? if it wasn't socially acceptable to like slightly older stuff, then you'd have old people ditching their old tv and music and obsessing over Valheim and Among Us to try and fit in with current trends lmao.
Well i can't agree or disagree- I've only played p5r and p3p. But from what I've seen (the whole game lol), i can't really choose between them. P4 is about a slowly growing group of friends with flaws they accept as they try to find the truth. P5 is about people with unfortunate circumstances trying teaming up to try to improve their lives and get back at people who wronged them. Tldr they're both good but i can't really judge them since i didn't play p4/p4g
@@m_e_nere Since you have played P5 then you know how Futaba has to accept a part of herself she always tried to hide and thus gains her persona which is very different from how every other character in the game gains theirs (they rip their masks off in an act of defiance). Futaba then grows as a person and gets stronger both in and out of the palaces. That is exactly how the P4 cast gain their persona's (expect the main character who already has access to his). And it's it this growth which brings them, and you the player, closer together which is why a lot of people think the P4 cast is better.
