I mean, it ought to. He caused Shiho to attempt suicide and she's STILL managed to hang in there. What right could he possibly have to seek suicide as an out to the situation he CAUSED OF HIS OWN VOLITION?
Cee Cee I know. But the way she screams it at him just shows how much raw fury and anger she had at him. The VA was VERY good at conveying Ann’s hatred for Kamoshida. This part and the part where Ann said “shut up. I bet everyone told you the same. But you, you took everything from them!” After the boss fight just shows how strong a character Ann was. It sucks that a lot of people relegate her to the back lines both in game and as a character
@@Austin_Soares true I mean it's not a over the top shout either Anne's been trough a very daunting experience with kamoshida and shihos attempted sucide
CYX Studioz Don't think it Had to do with the Olympics. He was afraid of being irrelevant. Also that potato headed d bag didn't help matters by sweeping matters under the rug.
@@CryoJnik I suspect that was what made Kamoshida into who he became by the time the Phantom Thieves assembled. The principal helping him get away with what he did.
I love how bittersweet this feels. You did the right thing even for the right reasons. But there's no celebration, at least not at first. No happy ending comes immediately out of anything that happened, and I love the game handles this first antagonist
@@elliotts7383 same i hate kamoshida and was always smug with him but when I stole his treasure and he confessed I kinda just felt bad for him. We essentially killed the old him and replaced him with another kamoshida that was the opposite of the original but he is now forced to suffer his past selfs crimes. Definitely bittersweet forsure
I don't get how y'all feel bad for him. Lord knows how many kid he abused. He deserved more than juat him turning himself in. Someone should have kicked him in the stomach.
@@bgill6623 you really fell sorry for perverted bastard ? Beacause of him Mishima leaked Joker’s criminal record, as well as blackmailing Ann into relationship and let’s not forget that Ryuji’s team fell apart
@@detectiveblutomindpretzel2324 um yeah things you regret will hunt you or you will have to take up with things like shido she did it because she couldn't stand it sucide is for some people like escape what if you are old and your whole family dies you are the only one left and you are very lonely you just want that it ends
It'll be something you have to live with for the rest of your life knowing there's nothing you can do to make it up and can only grovel for forgiveness
My favorite part of this is that Kamoshida falls to his knees and starts visibly sobbing when he mentions Shiho. Out of all the terrible things he did, driving one of his students to suicide is what brings him to tears.
Cr0Nix SaV3s Think about it this way, he'll live the rest of his life with the excruciating regret of what he did, his reputation in the public eye has been tarnished and it will forever remain that way long after he's dead.
aguywhodoesntexist Exactly. People hold grudges against people even after justice has been served. It's unnecessary. I'm not saying I respect Kamoshida one bit, but people need to learn to let things go. Stuff happens, and having it hang over your head is just gonna stop you from living your own life.
Also think about it this way: Kamoshida died the moment his heart was officially considered "stolen". The man taking his place is just some unfortunate soul saddled with memories of what the man before him did, and extreme guilt over those actions. So in the end Kamoshida managed to escape punishment after all, because his soul "died" or worse, and the guilt-ridden blank slate was put in his stead. But what do the people who don't know the Metaverse know about that aspect, so I guess ignorance is bliss in some form if it lets them accept the justice done. "You're not Kamoshida now, not really..."
It's suck... I really hated Kamoshida because of his actions and such that i just want him to see him get punish in the worse way possible for all the despicable things that he's ever done, but after seeing him and his changed heart and all now and when he was confessing all his actions to the whole school i kinda felt bad for him. But i don't want to feel bad for him after what he's done, I DON'T WANT TO!
Just think this in order to not feel sorry for him. Its highly implied that something sexual happened when he called Shiho into the office, just before she jumped because of the library room featuring pics of Shiho, and his shadow saying "because you didn't throw yourself at me, I had her do it" which clearly implies sex. So he either raped or sexually assaulted her.
The thing is, the guy that will go to jail is just NOT the same person that raped Shiho, in fact, the PTs basically created a new person in the body and with the memories with the original Kamoshida. We are sending a being that appeared from nowhere to jail for a thing that his previous existence did, is like sending a guy to jail for being the reincarnation of a criminal.
It means you have a good heart, it's nothing to be ashamed of. I hate what he did too, but I couldn't help feeling at least a little bit sorry, dude seemed like a complete wreck.
+Kazuya Prota I think it's the same being, just with his built up evil desires cleansed. He has all of the memories from before, and even if he started over, if he stayed on the same path, he eventually would've ended up the same kind of person, doing the same things. He just now fully sees what he did, fully feels the guilt over what he did. Still, it really makes one wonder if what the PT did was right.
Omega: All right, I've gotten a lot of money out of that palace. Any suggestions on what we should buy, Morgana? Morgana: Let's just sell the metal for a lot of money. Omega: Are you even looking at the money I have made from fighting for my life at the palace? Morgana: It's fine, go sell it! I want Omega's confidence in playing a game on the highest difficulty the moment you start to play it.
You know when I watch these walkthroughs of this game and how each antagonist confessed their crimes after the "change of heart" sequence, it made wonder something. A person living the rest of their life filled with guilt and regret of the things they've done, can be a fate worse than death, but doesn't that inspires said person to yearn for the cold grip of death even more later on in their life, when the guilt becomes too hard to bare?
If the change of heart is honest. Atonement and redemption can both happen. Even if he has to bear with the guilt of what he’s done for the rest of his life, it doesn’t take away his chance and right to become a better person and perhaps try to *make up*(i dont have a better term for what im trying to say here) for all the evil things and harm he’s done to people in some way. I am currently playing through this game and im only half way through the artist’s palace. I do wonder if this game’s story touches the very complicated subject that is redemption in the case of such vile crimes like this.
@@marxo6558 you definitely can hate him. Just think of all the fucked up things hes done, raping shiho, damaging ryuji leg and kicking him off the team(ruining his passion), physically abusing his students, sexually harassing Ann, and even in the palace place he totured his students(well in his mind), he deserves what he got or he should even be given worst, seeing him confess made me feel a little bad for him but I hope when he goes to jail those men do him something even worse
Game does a great job on showing you how sorry they really are after they get their heart stolen. Kind of hard to stay mad at them when they literally turn into a different person.
For a over the top crazy game kamoshidas apology is one of the most natural, well acted and moving speeches ever anne put emotion into it dc Douglas is not just a great voice actor but a amazing method actor full stop.
At the end of the story line in Mortal kombat x Raiden said there are fates worse than death. Even said that in the mortal kombat 11 story line as well.
I dont feel bad for him and I dont believe a single word that came out of his filthy mouth about being trully sorry. I just cant' feel bad for someone who hurt children in that way, and it was more or less annoying the game trying to make you feel at least a little sorry for garbages like him...
I think this game handles sexual assault the subject and the abuser about as well as you can in a persona setting. Even tho Kamoshida disserves all that happens to him and more, ya don't feel good about it. Don't get me wrong, I do not feel bad for him, but ya aren't happy ether. You see him confess like he is an entirely different person, and you just wonder why it had to come to all this. He still hurt, traumatized, and sexually assaulted students, and suddenly his heart change feels so sudden that you aren't ready for it. And even with him behind bars, the damaged has been done, and you wish all of the harm he brought could have been avoided (just like in real life). Out of all the media I have seen handle a subject like this, Persona 5 is definitely in my top 5!
