"Something seems odd about Elizabeth. None of us had any trouble following her train of thought or understanding what she was saying. Something was clearly wrong."
@@juanpablorobayo9891 Yes and no Yes because in the Persona universe gods are formed from the human unconsciousness and no because they're special in a way they can manifest into the real world and actual affect things
...since no one else seems to of mentioned it, I'll do it. Elizabeth said that Zeus was shut out of the world that they are in. It actually quite easy to figure out how this is possible if you remember that Zen was original known as Chronos, who was Zeus's father in Greek Mythology. In other words, the final boss is actually Zeus's dad. Surprising, yes?
Leobhart Surprisingly, you're right, although their names are similar, so do forgive me for the confusion. However, it seems that the two deities having similar names is NOT a coincidence, according to some. Some believe that Cronos is considered as an aspect of time that devours all things, and that Cronos is an alternate name to Chronos, or at least the Greek word for time. The Renaissance period pretty much fused Cronos and Chronos as concepts into "Father Time", which only adds to the confusion of anyone who doesn't look this stuff up to check for the difference between them. And to make it more interesting, it's Father Time, not Cronos or Chronos, who is considered as the Grim Reaper, or Death, which is what Zen was originally, so depending on how the sea of souls or whatever the system of the powers that be work in this series, Zen may very well be one or the other, both, or even neither.
Yuzo Koshiro (He does the music for Etrian Odyssey) BLAZIN on that ost. As you can imagine by the trumpets, Yuzo' favorite pokemon region is Hoenn. Zeus' design on his card was also done by the artist for Etrian Odyssey, Yuji Himukai.
Hoenn, land of water and trumpets :P Now im jealous of PQ.....I want an adversary boss theme this slammin and jammin for EO: Mystery Dungeon AND EO5 now.....T.T
This is without a doubt the best fight in the entire game so far. The feeling of dread is so present, and Elizabeth genuinely scared me when I saw her. The music also is the most Etrian Odyssey-ish one yet. This plot-twist definitely was interesting to see, it shows that when one is too obsessed with power, it can corrupt you hard.
He may be hinting at both. Remember in the P5 trailer when MC had blue flames running over him as his "Awakening"? That might be similar to what Zeus did to Elizabeth, only on a more subtle level of change.
So poison in this game does damage equal to 15.38% of the target's max HP at the end of each turn. The exact number is rounded down to an integer though.
Now this is a 100% pure reference to Atlus's Etrian Odyssey franchise for one the design of Zeus was designed by Yuji Himukai who is the character artist for the series. I am sure that some have already mentioned but the this particular track that plays for this fight was composed by Yuzo Koshiro who is the composer for the series. He is also well known for many other incredible soundtracks, Streets of Rage, Actraiser 1&2, and most importantly Ys I-III. FYI this track is called "Disturbances: The One Called From Beyond" which the surname Disturbances is used for some of the remix tracks from Etrian Odyssey III but I digress. Whats interesting is that this particular character has not been in any Etrian Odyssey games as of yet. I think we can expect this to end up like Vincent from Catherine, a small reference to their next game in the franchise. Also if I had to compare this music track to his other works in Etrian Odyssey its similar to the first battle theme from Etrian Odyssey IV. I hope this track gets an epic remix in whatever future game it may appear in cause its epic.
hermesleao It would be interesting to use him,but since he already belongs to a character in P1 it would be unlikely for him to appear in P5.Although there were some exceptions,Like Isis, which belongs to Yukari from P3,appearing as a normal persona in P4.So Hades could still appear. Edit: I got it all wrong,he appeared in P2,not P1.
***** Yeah,I'm really curious to see who will the new Personas be.Maybe Hindu gods? Sure,Atlus already messed a lot with Hindu lore in other games ( DDS Saga
Hell yeah! I've been waiting for this one! Told you da music would be slammin' :P You *really* brought out the big guns for this one! Mahakala and Yoshitsune rape face. The next secret boss is quite a doozy. But you've got it no prob.
Considering Liz wanted my best (even though we technicaly didn't fight "her") I wanted to not let her down :p Oh man, I have a feeling you will like the next one the way I did it haha.
Why did Elizabeth use the Nordic Sephiroth to summon a Greek God? And why would Zeus live under the Yggdrasil? Did someone on the development team mix up Zeus and Thor? Even his description of his home sounds more like Valhalla than Olympus.
Wakka Seta I'll guess he's actually from Etrian Odyssey 5, it'd make sense with Yggdrasil and "a land of odyssey and exploration". Not only that, his design and theme were both made by people behind Etrian Odyssey. I'd imagine he'd be something like Etreant from EO and the Overlord from EO2.
Wakka Seta Same reason why a Buddhist deity that was derived from the Hindu/Vedic Shiva and evetually became a Lucky God in Japan (Mahakala) can learn an attack whose name is French and is type of art genre about the universal reachh of Death (Danse Macabre) which contains what is more or less Smaurai visuals (the Cherry Blossoms) ...No one knows what that reason is :P
Of course Danse Macabre is French. Should have known when it said "Danse" instead of "Dance." But then I thought "Macabre" was Spanish. Either way, it means Dance of Death.
You don't think that Zeus did something to Elizabeth while she was under his spell as why she mentioned the phrase "The Radiance of life I do not posses"......right?
Sure let's fuse the persona which overtook one of the most powerfull entities in the entire persona universe, what could possibely go wrong there -____-
Zeus was originally a character from persona 2 I think, where he had a major influence over the plot. He is basically one of the strongest characters in the verse, and had a domain over life energy. Him possessing Elizabeth raises MANY questions about how personas work...
@@zaqareemalcolmTo be fair, Caroline and Justine give you that, and let you do it even after the reveal. Its implied that both "Igor" and Igor know that the protagonist can handle it.
Zeus' Design as well the gameplay mechanics of this game and dungeoneering are a reference to the game series Persona Q crosses' with also by Atlus. Etrian Odyssey. Yggdrasil is a Giant Tree linked to one of the main Dungeons as well as having a significance to the plot which changes with each game.
Heroic Gemini has a low chance of activating and can be learned by anyone with the right skill card/sub-persona. Golden Gemini has a medium chance and is exclusive to Junpei's ascended Persona (Trismegistus).
You take requests from Elizabeth to defeat the mini bosses in the last floor of each laberynth and also the Reaper in the Clock tower. You get five spheres total and this is what happens. Now, I have never had this happen to me, but I'm 90% sure what I explained is how it happens
