listening to persona music after spending so long playing these games gives me a strange sense of longing to truly experience persona for the first time again
I just completed persona 5 royal (my first persona game) and it was so emotionally charged and good I immediately started new game + to get the better ending. I went thru the first time completely blind with no wiki or walkthrough help until I finished and then I discovered there's a whole third trimester. I'm almost there this time and I can't wait to start personas 3 and 4! 5 has immediately became my favorite game of all time more than likely surpassing chronotrigger and undertale. and the music has a large part to do with that.
The three song blend at 12:24 is so incredible! Taking three great songs that each get their own part and style seamlessly blending, as well as a part where all three come together and somehow harmonically sound so agreeable with each other.
I like to think that the dialogue between Lyn and the manager went something like this: Lyn: Is Life will change on the list of songs on this live? Manager: Yeah, how so? Lyn: Can I perform it twice? Manager: No, all the other songs are only performed once and I don't see a reason to make an exception. Lyn: But it's my favourite, pretty please. Plus the fans also really like it so I don't think they would complain about it. Manager: Tch, fine. You can perform it twice but you can only perform the full song once. Lyn: Y E S!!!!
lyn's voice on last surprise is out of the ordinary. I have extremely rarely been so transported by such a voice. The end of last surprise is magnificent with this voice too. She is perfect.
Hearing the music from these games hits me so hard. Spending hundreds of hours playing these games and never getting tired of the music is quite a testament to just how great it is.

Because they sell the DVDs of these events in japan. The only way to avkid deletion is to have youtube hide the video from the entirety of Japan @@avacado370
I can't imagine how it feels to hear Memories of You Live. I am bursting in tears as it is already. Amazing concert, I am so jealous i will never get to experience it!
1:44:37 Remember when Dojima had to cancel the trip on the 4th and 5th because he had some...*Unexpected Police Business*...I'd like to think this is what he was doing those two days.
This is one of the joys/tragedies of being an 80's child. Knowing the fantasy of a full-fledged video game concert but having to wait until your late 30s to actually see one happen. Take it from me, kids, people told us that video games would NEVER reach this level of cultural relevance. The older generation doesn't necessarily know what it is talking about all the time.
Is it just me or did joker's dancer got startled at 24:02 and ran off because he wasn't supposed to be on screen at that time? It looked kinda funny when he just started bolting of stage 😆
just wanna point out how good the cover at 1:43:38 is. personally, i consider persona 4's battle themes the weakest in the series, but shihoko-chan absolutely nails time to make history. really good stuff.
