I had my colors done 30 years ago and have pretty much followed it. If nothing else my closest is much better coordinated.

There are so many online assessments you can do for free if you can't afford to hire someone to do it, but even simpler is to just get a bunch of FREE color swatches from your local hardware store and you and a friend can sit together and they can objectively tell you which swatches when held up to your face and skin look better on you. It will become clear after a while which way you're leaning if the pastels are sort in one pile and the darker or medium colors or what have you are in the other pile. Obviously as she says, she's going to do what she wants, but this isn't make believe stuff----people really do look better or worse wearing certain colors over others. I look best in jewel tones and I notice that when I wear "my colors" I get way more compliments than I do when I wear those not in my color palette.

Just looking at you first second in the video and I say true autumn! we have kinda similar coloration except that I have naturally deeper hair (deep autumn)

I think I'm either a deep winter or a bright winter and I really don't like the winter palette. I prefer summer ones, at least they are cool too.

@@andreamumm9083 as someone who had one done it isn’t, I waste so much less money on clothes that I never end up wearing because the colors don’t suit me now. But also I got mine for $150 you should try it online from someone like her because your area is way too expensive.

FFS, just wear whatever you want. Who cares if someone else thinks it's "the wrong colour". Surely we've outgrown this kind of stuff by now?

nobody is saying everyone should be doing this or that those who don’t follow it are wrong. Personally I find it useful to know my colours but it’s not like I don’t frequently also wear whatever I want

You can wear what you want but some people would like to know what suits their colouring best. Wearing the right colours for you makes you appear brighter even without makeup. I’m very fair and whenever I wear clothes I like I end up looking sick because the colours don’t flatter me. I would really love to get a colour analysis done, it would save me a lot of money on all the clothes I’ve bought that I end up not liking. Obviously this is a preference and only those who want to know their colours would get this service and they wouldn’t criticise others or tell them to change their colours.
