An updated ranking of a classical princess! Enjoy, and please remember that this is just my own personal opinion. I will remake a few old character rankings, might even remake my Cinderella/Snow White ranking if I can find the motivation
Ahaha, I should re-make my ranking too! But yours is wonderfully done even if we have a completly differet point of view about how Aurora should sound^^ I like operistis and classical voices instead xD But I totally love your number 1
Nice ranking! Thank you for 6th place, love my childhood version, she's amazing! Just would like to see the brazilian and the swedish version higher, but nice ranking anyway :)
Thanks for 19th place, I don't like her at all but anyway thank you xD Great ranking as always and good editing, great choices for your top 10. Here I discovered a new favorite, Greek! I never heard it before, so it was a instantaneous love xD
Thank you so much for 9th place!! To be honest, I never really gave much attention to Aurora, plus I have never seen the movie =/ By what I know anyway and my musical taste, I think I dig more operatic voices for her. Anyway this is your opinion and I respect it =) What kind of music do you generally like?? I'm curious...
Okay, so first time in like 2 days where I have the time to watch a big ol' princess ranking, I'm excited ^^ But I'm just gonna guess and say that we're gonna disagree with at least the '59 portion of this vid :P Well, funnily enough, Japanese and Polish are also my least favorite of the 'old' versions, so we agree there. Every time I listen to Indonesian I think of myself "why was she not lower in my ranking!?" She's a lot worse than Icelandic and Russian, what a mistake. And here we go, Latin Spanish, French and Dutch '59 (and Bulgarian) all low though I like them all. I'm actually surprised with your general preference of less classical voices, that French '81 and Latin Spanish '01 are still pretty low, I think they're two of the most enjoyable of this category. Also, German is my favorite '59 version except for English, so I'm glad she's in the top 15 :D Except for Ukrainian, Danish, Turkish, Portuguese and Korean I love all of your top 15! And I'm happy we agree on how amazing number 1 is :D (she deserved better than the 10th place I gave her in my ranking).
Really I can't stand Brenda Ruiz, she sound very flat, unfitting and beside she's my least Latin Spanish voice. Lupita was my childhood and I appreciate her (much more than her Snow White). So sad that she end up so low :/ But I respect your opinion, and perfectly I understand your tastes, is so hard love a old version, after all :)
Hey, sorry but the one you added as "Latin Spanish 1959" is Spain's spanish. (I'm from a Latin American Country and this is my favorite Disney movie lol) anyway great video. :)
You know, the Serbian versions aren't movie versions, just from some kind of audio storybook made in the 70s, that's why they are two singers. Same for Finnish, Johanna never officially dubbed Aurora. Glad to see Danielle Licari at least in the top 20, that's not too bad. Though we share some favourites, I believe we mostly disagree on this one ^^ Nice number one though !
I disagree with the classic/operatic voices being ranked low in this list, because Aurora is the one princess where that style of singing works well, especially since the original voice was a classically trained opera singer
I understood you don't like bulgarian voices but i think bulgarian singers are one of the best. Everyone with his opinion. These words are like injury for me. But thank you for these clips! A question: Where are you from?
I'm starting to belive that young peaple haven't good ear or something or the extremely like flat voices, but as they say this is just "personal ranking" so let it be...
First of all, I'd like to make my stance clear at the outset: I have a soft spot for Malay voices! However, when it comes to classical (in terms of production years) Disney princesses, namely Cinderella and Aurora, I concede that European voices are generally becoming; Malay casts for these characters are also charming nonetheless in addition to Wendy of Peter Pan and Snow White for which the Malay cast is the most beautiful. While for modern (again, in terms of production years) Disney princesses, namely Ariel, Jasmine, Mulan, Rapunzel, Pocahontas, Megara, Tiana, Elsa, Anna and Moana (as far as "How far I'll go" goes), Malay voices are broadly the best!
Nice ranking. I would put Swedish, French, German, Dutch and Danish higher. I'm not sure about the Portuguese version, as she sounds a bit annoying. But she definitely has a beautiful voice.
