Since you mentioned it, I assumed that someone just bought out the Moller vehicle and got it approved. I never understood why it would take so many years to get FAA approval on a vehicle as simple as the Skycar when so many others were succeeding. Have you got any idea why the Moller bunch failed?
Thank you for the update, TechZone..!! Personalized wheeled rides.. If anyone plans to get them, please remember to get a good set of elbow protection pads that extends to your wrists. About 10 years ago, I fell down on the asphalt while riding a wheeled device. I was carrying a backpack filled with heavy things and my right arm skin almost got ripped off. Avoid carrying heavy loads while riding any personalized wheeled devices, and please remember to protect yourself as much as possible.
Personal transport? Well, suit yourself. I am 73 and walk at least four k a day and my blood pressure is better than that of many far younger kids today.
It's a cute little vehicle if you live in the country. where I live when you're driving down the highway at 60 mi an hour people pass you like you were standing still.
