Alex Kiderman, FJMC International VP, was visiting Israel when Hamas suddenly attacked on Saturday, October 7, 2023. In a single day, more than 350 Israeli soldiers and police and 1,400 Israeli citizens were killed across military bases, nearby towns and kibbutzim and at a music festival near Re'im. Some 200 Israeli citizens and soldiers were taken as hostages to the Gaza Strip of which the number of kidnapped children approached 30. Alex will share photos, text and warning messages, and his description of life in Israel from that terrible day's events through the following week.
