He's speaking to a theater full of students so he's projecting his voice. He's wearing the mic for the camera, but his students can't hear him like we can in the actual class.
Awesome lecturer! He does project his voice loudly, but I don't mind it so much. I find it more frustrating when you get lecturers who only want to have a conversation with the first two rows of their class. I've been watching Dr Chris' lectures on personality psych and they've been helping as he explains the concepts clearly with good examples.

The only issue I have is that he is speaking so quickly I am having a hard time taking notes. I am glad that this is recorded so I can rewind and make the notes I need for better retention.
