Can you talk about the weaknesses/insecurities of each type? You're very good at that. As an ENTP sometimes I feel so misunderstood. I really love this video because you analyse beyond the stereotype, a whole video series revolving around a topic like that would be nice.

As an ENFJ, I can relate to the Fe-Ti imbalance. It’s taken a long time to finally put the work into having more self-worth outside of the tribe. In my case, my identity was tied to my career so I put so much energy into creating a positive environment for my co-workers as their manager, especially at the start of the pandemic. This carried over into my next job but having a child forced me to improve my work-life balance which in turn helped with build my Ti identity. Great analysis, this is a song I definitely relate to.

I'm not even an ESFJ but as an ISFP whose tritype is 641, her issues are somehow veeeeeery relatable lol. Might be a shadow functions thing, and probably why I tend to love ESFJs so much. This song also displays how insecure Taylor is with her Ti, using it to beat herself up rather than being really objective about herself. I think it can be a downside of low and repressed Ti. Once again, very interesting video and I appreciate how you analyze people's types by deconstructing cognitive functions and explaining them in a very clear and yet detailed way. Keep the good job!

Enfj and swiftie here, I listen to her songs cause I relate to it a lot. I do that you know self sabotaging, determining my self worth based on others opinion about me. It’s really toxic and not healthy and I’m trying my hardest to stop but somethings just don’t work out. If u wanna listen to Taylor and Enfj like me or Esfj. I highly recommend her folklore and evermore album. Especially songs like ‘this is me trying’ , ‘mirrorball’ , ‘Dorothea’ and ‘tis the damn season’.

This is such a very specific and clear understanding of Si and Fe! Thank you, Steven. I relate a lot to the Fe descriptions even as an incredibly shy and sensitive INFJ who has worked hard to get out of my own head and develop my Fe. I've butted up against many of those issues you describe for EXFjs in my difficult journey with developing my secondary extraverted function more. Others have felt that I give too much, that I was overbearing, bossy, telling them what to do, and being too critical, so I've had to learn to let go more, to let other people make mistakes and not feel a duty to save them from their own poor choices (LOL - you can hear the judgment I had there). And I've had to develop a greater sense of self and worth - that I have value simply because I exist - and that value isn't dependent on how responsible I am, how good I am, and is inherent regardless of how much I do for others. My life has often seemed to be focusing on and analyzing and consolidating data points I've perceived and then sharing my insights from all of that synthesis of knowledge with others. I love having these "super powers" of NI + Fe, but without others open to me to share it with or to help, coach, or inspire, it left me with a feeling of no where to share it and feeling unexpressed. What do I do with all my insights if no one wants to hear me or I'm too scared to be rejected for my real self? It's like all this mental potential with no outlet. I can't say I know the answer (yet), but the solution that has helped me the most so far as been to learn to contain myself better, to set limits fo rmyself and how much and with whom to give or share. It almost seems selfish sometimes, it's so counter to my natural instincts and preference to focus on others. But being more discerning (using my tertiary Ti better) about when and with whom to help or give to until people are directly asking for it or receptive or open to me, makes all the difference. Then I don't feel I'm too intense and burdening anyone. Then they truly appreciate me and what I have to contribute, and I don't feel dismissed, rejected, or worthless. Sometimes it's a waiting game, until someone is ready for my gifts and knowledge, but then when I can truly express myself, it's such a special, fulfilling, and meaningful exchange that can really catalyze things- for others and for me. I hope this is helpful to other INFJs and dominant Fe users out there!

The Mirror scene hit me in heart💔 since a very young age i used to observe my self moving where the crowd go and i hated that and used to feel happily proud within self when i was the last person to know about something happened ( cause that made feel like I'm finally not moving with the crwod and a bit free) . When i used to look in the Mirror I had always felt quite lonely not able to know who i am and this idea was the most terrifying thing for me by time i kept asking my self alot of questions and observe my actions and it's consequences trying to figure out who i am and what i want in live . It was dark era of my growth journey and I'm lucky that i made it through alive and be able to recognize my self when i look in the mirror and it looks like an old friend of mine always with me but rarely remember to say Hi to him ❤

I loved this style of video and also love how understanding you are to all personality types, recognising everyone's value and strengths. Thanks to this channel and because of your attitude I've realised I'm probably not the INFP I always thought I was, and am probably an ISFJ instead (although am now starting to question ESFJ as well!) and I feel like instead of trying to convince myself I'm the 'creative, authentic type' that I have my own strengths, both because of my type and in spite of it. When I heard this song in the Eras Tour movie I felt that it’s kind of contradicting that it’s an uppbeat, very popular song with so much komplex concepts about her mental state, which wasn’t healhty at all at this point. If I wrote a song like this at a similar point of my life, it would be more like the songs on Folklore (I’m an INFP). Dark, melancholic, but somewhat bittersweet, so something that would make you sob - and also, there would be repressed anger in them. She used a completely different technic; she managed to show off her darkest self. Basically, she wanted to show it off, make it appear in the spotlight. This and the happy undertone may shows that she doesn’t even take her struggles seriously, but it’s not the case based on the lyrics itself… I think it’s her most honest and dishonest song. This kind of duality makes it ironic

I thought you were supposed to be masters of your top functions, and the lesser conscious functions are where your control slips up, causing you problems. Like, with a Fe dom, she would know JUST how to manage other people's emotions or the emotional atmosphere, but the Ne or the Ti will cause problems for her because she devalues and tries to shut that side of herself because it is uncomfortable. Why would Fe cause SO many problems? Or is this what I have misunderstood about the MBTI? Is it that your top functions are the ones you value, so that you will engage with them so much that you will eventually develop them better than the other functions? What does it then mean to be 'natural' at your top/dominant functions? Is it a level of competency or a desire to excel in it? I remember in Jung, the attitude of the most conscious function will determine the strength of your most subconscious function's attitude, so it would mean the person who tries so hard to please the tribe (Fe) would end up displeasing themselves (Fi) the most, and thereby their subconscious would sabotage their attempts at pleasing the tribe by making it so that they don't actually do the things for others the way that they intend to do them.. Hmm. This video gave me a lot to think about... myself.

This could just as easily be an INFJ song as well. However she is too Social to be an Introvert or INFJ. She’s clearly a Sensor because she has pretty terrible taste in Men. INFJ would be more careful about who they put time and energy into.
