I personally think that if you use the music mode on the Dolby Atmos settings. It actually brings instruments & certain frequencies in very clean. Try it out. If you pay attention to the background sounds in music. With music mode. They come in sharper.

Since I was a child, I had a terrible hearing in my right ear compared to my left and struggled to listen to conversations on one side compared to the other. I learned about this feature when I purchased my first Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. I was curious to get optimal audio out of these, and I knew the EQ was a baseline of what profile you enjoy listening to; I was not aware of this feature on this device (Note 20 Ultra 5G) quite literally began to tear up when I heard the difference (preview) and wow, thank you for showing this.

Brilliant mate. I went in and all the setting were turned off. Completed the hearing test and can now hear the music. Keep up the great work, actually enjoying my Note20 for the 1st time.

@@sonny9511 You also have to consider the tuning if your headphones, not all headphones are tuned the same so amplifying certain frequencies are going to muddy up the sound.

Good video, thank you! Many people who use Samsung phones would be unaware of what this adaptive sound is and miss out. Are you aware of the Samsung DeX software? You could get the phone screen output on your Windows computer screen, then record the screen. That would be much better quality and easier to read for people... although your video is not bad.

This might sound like a dumb question but I have a note 20 ultra and I use Sony wf1000xm4 earbuds if I use a custom equalizer in the Sony app for the earbuds does it override my custom adapt sound profile on my phone or do both take part in producing the sound. like I said at the beginning this is probably a very dumb question

Omg.... I have no equalizer... only Dolby Atmos.. what happened to my s.g. A01.. something different, delayed and low voices. Like some music with a high notes but still the voice of the singer was low/calm... my speaker is working but the sound's terrible like I am listening to a Live" band.. I bought this last May2020, last June it has great sound quality. at first it was good in the great price..but now, ughh.. don't know why...

I also use the "rock" eq. I listen to metal songs and it's just better. But my question is that do the producers of the song actually suggest to change the eq on rock or not. Bc it's an important thing to actually hear the way that the song maker wants us to hear

my equalizer stock (from samsung a50) reset himself after a minute of using. I listen music with many devices (bluetooth speakers) and the problem is the same. The problem is that if i change the preset(for ex. ROCK, JAZZ,CLASSIC or PERSONAL preset) after severals minutes during listening , the equalizer, and i can ear it ,goes back to default settings (that is NORMAL preset), The strange thing is that if i go again in sound settings, the preset is still selected as i want. The changing is not visible is only in the sound. i ve try differrent music app,different devices and it was present in android 10 and now still in android 11

I know what you mean, and it is probably caused by the automatic enchance funtion of the dolby atmos feature. You should try turning it off.

go on playstore theres many equalizer you can download and try. if you have a top branded headphone then you can download "wavelet" its good and has preset for most headphones. otherwise just any eq app.

How can I increase the volume of conversations so my Dad, who doesn't hear well, can hear better when talking with someone on the phone? As of now, he's putting all incoming calls on speaker phone, but that's not an ideal solution.

It is not good for your dad when he just keeps turning up the volume. That potentially will damage his hearing further. He should see a specialist, probably he needs a hearing aid. He may not like the idea, but he would not like to go completely deaf, that's for sure. Otherwise, your dad could use a headphones amp with the phone and headphones, to increase the volume - but again, not a good solution long term. Good luck to you and to him!

For some reason it never ever worked for me. Regardless of which Samsung phone I had, or which wired or wireless headphones I have. I could not hear a difference regardless of the presets or my own personalized ones. Not sure if it's my ear lol

I've tried this about 4 times now and each time I've got different results. Not minor differences either. My first one was literally flat and just under the excellent 'grade'. The next one was flat and all under the good 'grade' like OAP hearing. Then another with much higher low end frequencies and one with much lower high end frequencies. Not quite sure what is going on here...

I was able to hear everything during the test even though some of the beeps were really faint. So it seems that it will basically just amplify the audio across the board if I turn it on. I don't see the point in enabling it.

If you mean the basic and advanced things you can find them in sound assistant although the interface is different. My S10 still has the 9 band EQ and works fine.
