In this tutorial I show you how to personalize a baby sweater using just the chain stitch. Easy!
It's a great personalized baby gift for a baby shower, a baby hamper or gift set.

Thank you sooo much! This looks so easy to do. It’s a similar to the invisible stitch I use to sew on my pockets to my scrubs when hand nobs rip them off. Doing this my self is a lot cheaper than the $50 to buy one.

Hi Joann! Nothing fancy, I got it from eBay 😊 it was cotton and the size was 3mm thickness.

You can also use a water soluble marker for embroidery! They disappear when exposed to water 🙂

I put mine in a mesh garmet bag and wash on gentle. The bag keeps the yarn from getting hung up or stretched too much in the washer.

That is not the correct way to make a chain stitch and an easier method make your font on canva and place your sweater over the iPad and trace and use a water soluble marker or disappearing ink.

@@zuleikadutfield1967 yo must go on canva and the font I use is very berry enlarge the name and place it under the sweater trace with water soluble pen and then embroider
