Work is scheduled to commence in October 2024 and be complete by April 2025. This was a unique opportunity to have a look at the route so that we can see what it looks like before construction starts, and the compare it to the finished product next year.
The streets that the route takes are already quiet and traffic calmed, and it links up Kings Park at the eastern end, a railway station and Shenton College at the western end a large park in the middle. There are lots of small businesses in the blocks to the north and south of the route.
As usual, the Subiaco Post has described it as an "unpopular project" - which is hilarious, given the newspaper's office is just off the route.
