Peru was a TRIP OF A LIFETIME. Making your own travel plans and not sure where to go? Look no further! Our journey looked the following....
- We took a flight to Lima from France
- Stayed overnight at Lima and flew to Arequipa (1-2 days)
- Took a bus to Colca Canyon and hiked (2 days)
- Took a bus to Puno and visited the town (1 day)
- Went with boat on a trip on Titicaca (2 day)
- Took an overnight bus to Cusco and visited town (1 day)
- Visited Machu Picchu (1 day)
- Visited Rainbow Mountains (1 day)
- Flew to Puerto Maldonado and visited the Jungle (3 days)
- Flew back to Lima, visited the town and headed back to Europe (1-2 days)
We covered a lot of ground in 2 weeks. Were we constantly on the move? Yes. Was it hard and exhausting? Yes. Would I do it again? Hell yeah!
When planning for Peru, focus on figuring out your own desired destinations. Our most memorable and favorite locations were probably places, that were less popular and had less tourists... Go an get lost, go and try local experiences and food, go and do not be afraid. Peru is safe to travel and locals are welcoming everyone. Can the communication be hard without Spanish - Yes, a bit. But will you handle with body language and quick google translate? Absolutely!
