This is an album of "Glenn Miller standards" (of course, most are public domain tunes arranged in the Miller style)- some of which were released on various bargain LP's- including "A Tribute To Glenn Miller" {Vol. 1/2) by "Eddie Maynard and his Orchestra'", side two of "The Big Bands Are Back!" by Joe Rene and his orchestra, and "Glenn Miller- A Musical Memory" by "Tex Morgan and his Orchestra". Some of the tracks are actually by Maxwell Davis and Bob Freedman's studio bands. Reply
Yeah, that Discogs reference wasn't correct. The selections mostly match what's printed on the tape and box, so I think it's not an issue with the tape. And it does sound a lot like Glenn Miller. This is what I mean -- some of these tapes (like Encor, Tuck), who knows the origins? Well, I think you do...
