@viktorvaldemar What would you expect the first lap of a 70+ mile road race to look like? I had helped to pull back a break just before the climb, and another guy took around 0:37
Love the vids, what software are you using to get your stats up on screen? I've just got a GoPro HD Hero and want to put up some of my stats onto the screen from my Garmin 310XT... Any suggestions?
Nice Video, what the camera setup cost ya? I would like to produce some of my races like Tour of Battenkill and Tour of Catskills and who know maybe tour of Dairy Land this year...
Thanks, I've been watching a few more of these power meter vids and ya, it seems pretty normal for the power to fluctuate like this. Also, I'm sure if ur on a climb by urself it'll be much more steady than in a race group (like in this vid), cuz the groups are always surging.
Our group rides are chit-chat but the races are usually less talking unless it is a lull for some reason. This climb is the most selective part of the course in this race so we hit is pretty hard, I was pretty much at my VO2 max. I couldn't have talked if I wanted.
An aluminum bike isn't going to slow you down. Plenty of folks in this race are still racing aluminum. I did this race as a 3, and I was fine until the finishing climb up Haskins. Ouch. The course works you pretty good before you get to that point.
Yeah, if you do use one, you'll probably find you're not as consistent as you feel, and there is a different effort output in different gear ratios, especially on climbs.
honestly do a rear mount on these climbs since I am sure you are breaking fools off and of course I want to watch the pain and suffering I know is going on.
Very dangerous to run a race with a yellow line rule in effect. And I notice the official/marshal @ 4:44 failed to beep when he passed. Typical stupid road marshal/official.
