The Lord has been dealing with me to have this lifestyle for months now, even before my daughter decided. Thank you for this infor. This video and your other video about your diet really inspired me to do research as you recommended about what I eat. Also seeing your groceries show me that eating better is something I can do without breaking the bank or eating unsavory food.
I'm leaning towards a pescatarian diet. Since I have been working from home due to Co-vid 19, I have been watching a lot of Jamaican cooks on You-tube. Learned how to make escovitch, OMG. Going to try brown stew fish this weekend, and try my hand at a fish stew. I'm from Connecticut, which is a sea food state. I love sea food. Thanks for sharing your shopping items from Trader Joe's.

Great haul! Please do a tutorial on the quinoa My husband wants to try, but I'm stuck. I looked at a few tutorials, but I'd rather prepare from somebody I know won't tell me wrong. We love Trader Joe's turkey meatballs and I always get the large shrimp for my shrimp and grits ;o) but now I might get that big box of salmon and try to make quinoa. Oh and my absolute favorites at TJ's are the lamb roast, shrimp potstickers, and sweet potato fries ;o)

Hey! Thank for the video's. I watched both of them. And I have to say it came at a perfect time because I am planning and doing research on becoming a Pescetarian. So if you could do some cooking video or what you eat in a day, how you plan meals, and can talk what you eat at family dinners or work parties if the food is cooked with meat for example collard greens and neckbones? Oh also how do you eat pizza and tacos and/or nachos?

So for family/holiday dinners for the last couple of years I've taken over. I don't eat anything with chicken or meat broths (soups, stews, greens, etc). I ask the cook, or the waiter at restaurants to confirm whatever I'm interested in eating is vegetarian or no meat (fish broth is okay). I eat veggie pizza....seafood or veggie tacos and nachos. Cheese is okay for me, but there are some "okay" cheese alternatives (again with soy). Hope this helps! :)

I used to use it in the crockpot with chicken but of course now that is out. I’m just west of you about 6 hours!

The Restaurant Depot on Haskell and Live Oak? I've wanted to check it out, but always thought it was some kind of warehouse for restaurants only. I've had the Hershey's brand chocolate covered potato chips. As addicted as I am to sugar, I just couldn't do it. Had to give it to the kids.

Bummer, my nearest trader Joe's is over 2 hours away and the local grocery store is expensive! Most of these items are not even at my store, small town reservation....
I have never cooked cod before but I like it. For fish I usually use Black pepper, Lawry's Seasoning salt and garlic powder. U can experiment with Old Bay Seasoning, lemon pepper, McCormick's fish fry is bomb stuff like that. I prefer Salmon that I season all kind of ways! Good luck 👍
Hi, I enjoy watching your videos. However, have you ever researched the man made ingredients/chemicals in some of the products you purchase? I did and I was so shocked due to the fact I was trying eat much better.
Star Wonder Hey! Some of the items are for sure not plant based or 100% natural. My shopping list looks somewhat different now (this video was made years ago) but I’ve always strived to eat better...not perfect. Which has worked really well for me. Let me know which chemicals/ingredients stood out to you! I’m always open to learn more!
How was your fish/seafood sourced? If it wasnt obtained with a spear or rod and line, then you are contributing and supporting the most destructive and cruel method of obtaining protein
+agenamarie1221 Soy is linked to breast cancer and hormone imbalances. I just like to be safer than sorry :) I did notice that eating a lot of soy meat alternatives was not good for me. My body like more greens and veggies! Xoxo
I have a friend's card, but one day I'll probably get one myself. A business can be solidified by getting an EIN from the IRS free online...I believe that's all you need.
being a pescatarian I think everyone should avoid milk,oils,prepackaged anything,no no no eggs,no butter just fruits,vegetables,oats,rice or pasta any seafood and lots of water!

It has omega and proteins in it but is less fatty than meat, also it helps with your brain. I became a pescetarian just last week and I'm so much more awake it's definitely worth the switch. Also the fishing industry is less damaging than the meat farming industry
@@fernherbert5296 Are you for real?? The fishing industry is way more destructive. Fish are hauled up and have internal organs ruptured before being left to sufficate on deck or be gutted alive. The bycatch and damage to the seabed and ecosystem is immense
Andres Tomas A lot of Pescetarians eat dairy as well on the diet. Like she's said in her videos, Pescetarianism is basically being vegetarian and eating fish/seafood. Vegetarians still consume dairy products.
+Morgan Miller Most soy products are cleaned and processed. Not the best way to eat soy, plus soy in high quantities has been linked to Breast Cancer. :( Just better to eat fresh fruits and veggies.....period. :)
You do know for vegetables, fruit, nuts, anything that hasn't been cooked by the manufacturer. The label organic means literally nothing right? Everything that's been grown is organic, the label is just a marketing trick. You have to look for organic labels on the prepared stuff i.e. Chips, pizzas, pastas, ect.

+The KG Lifestyle I am in college to be a chef right now. They teach you the proper ingredients to buy for a restaurant and that's what they they taught me.
Interesting. I guess there are several different definitions. I've seen where organic = non GMO, I've seen where organic = no pesticides, etc. I have a book from the UK called the Green Bible and it's great on explaining the definitions.
