Oxfam with the Climate Media Collaborative project partners, ASPPUK and KRKP successfully held the recent climate event #PestaIklim aimed to raise public awareness about the critical role of frontline communities in climate adaptation and mitigation efforts, highlighting the challenges they face in their regions.
The event, held in 26-27 July 2024 in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta encouraged the public to promote #mulaidarilokal, emphasizing local wisdom and knowledge in sustainable food systems and businesses. Oxfam with partners, influencers, and Key Opinion Leaders in climate issue shared insights and lessons learned from the Climate Media Collaborative project, showcasing campaign products developed during the initiative. The event which was attended by more than 100 participants, aimed at increasing public recognition of the importance of frontline community voices, with support expressed through twibbons and messages on kolaborasiiklim.id.
