One of my cats got VERY sick (diarrhea, throwing up, bloody stool, leaky rectum). Vet was stumped. We switched all our cats from Purina's Friskies to 9 lives. Problem went away pretty quickly. Switched my dogs off Purina as well. All that because of something I heard about people raising chickens who said that their Purina fed chickens were not laying. Switched foods and started laying again. Something is up.
I’m in the middle of researching a dog food switch and reading reviews on Chewy is all the evidence I needed. Over the past 2 months SEVERAL brands have been receiving reviews describing onset sickness in dogs that have been eating these kibbles for a long time. Very abnormal. Something definitely isn’t right.
I did the same thing for cat foods. Several brands had reviews reporting these symptoms in September of 2023 and December. Some are still reporting this now. SEVERAL brands!
That would be inaccurate. Hills has 5 plants. Purina must have at least double that. When you add Iams , Diamond, etc. then some of the new brands. There’s quite a few.
I appreciate your videos! I would love to see a video regarding the real nutritional value of dog food regarding mineral levels for different life stages and not just ingredients.
There are no problems, this is completely contrived by a few for their own financial gain. Unfortunately the people giving this hoax a platform have no moral standards and could care less about you or your pets.
My guys love Jiminys insect protein. Great for dogs with multitude of meat protein allergies. And best of all... havent heard of a recall or any major issues yet. *crossing fingers* 🤞
Completely unsubstantiated claims by a few unstable individuals with an agenda that will benefit them financially. Shame on the people who are creating anxiety and fear, they don’t care about you or your pets, disgusting!
@taralee look at Dr. Judy Morgan, a fear monger exploiting the emotions of people who want nothing but the best for their pets. Creating anxiety while creating a link to her own website that sells her “approved” dog foods. Beware!
Can you recommend any dog foods that don't contain chicken, chicken fat, or any poultry or fowl products (duck, quail)? I have a dog with a protein sensitivity and everything you suggest has chicken, turkey, etc. He also has an enlarged heart from previous heartworms so I also avoid pulses after Tufts released their taurine absorption study in '23. Trying to get dog food makes me want to cry.
Human grade food. If raw or gently cooked food, I like viva raw, raised right. Sundays are no synthetic and dried fresh dog food. If kibble, Open farm. Zignature has a lot varieties of protein, Instinct has limited ingredients kibble but those two are the brand that Dr. Judy mentioned so
So it’s been 2 months since this video. Any new info on this mystery, food borne illness? Most info on this seemed to stop in January with nothing new since.
My cat died not sure from what food yet. He had a stroke and seizures. Fancy feast gravy he ate for 13 years and refused his wet food and treats Temptation. PPP vitality and urinary tract. American Journey kibble chicken no grain. I bought Iams and meow mix trying to get him to eat. Resorted to rebound he ended up with upper respiratory after anti biotics didn’t work, iv therapy , ozone and nebulizing. He gave up and I had him euthanized. I will never buy Purina owned by nestle ever again! I contacted Chewy, fda, did survey, az agricultural, and purina saving pets one @ a time. They counted my cat as one of the dead from food.
@@alacroix49 I am so sorry! I had my cats refusing temptations for the first time recently and I heard the fancy feast gravy was one of the ones people are complaining about. We try to do our best for them, but it seems like you can't trust anything or anybody now...
Thank you for the information. Some may cause a frenzy to dog owners. Let me see some lab testing on these foods. Some just have a gimmick or a "sponsor". Dont believe everything you hear.
can food allergies cause vomiting or diarrhea? My dog eats grass til she either pukes it out or poops it out. I'm wondering if she could be allegic to grains.
I know that preparing food dor our dog or feeding raw is a healthy way to go. We are travelers and we have a tiny fridge, no constant meat source, etc. What food or a way if feeding our aussie you would suggest?
Nonsense. She does not sell pet food... what would be her gain in that? The claims did NOT originate from Dr Morgan. She and others are simply reporting what many pet owners are claiming on the FB page mentioned in this video, and possibly other sources.
Dr Judy sent food to be analyzed and so far nothing has come back that would cause illness. The original post on FB that kicked this off was deleted. I have a strong feeling that when the other lab tests come back, there will be nothing to show.
@@jinxiemac29 The original tests were done with randomly purchased food from different stores. The next round of tests are from food that that dogs became sick or died after eating
I think this was part of an earlier recall. One of those big companies that makes several brands--several of their brands were recalled. If I had a dog, I'd just cook for him at this point. It's almost cheaper than the "better" foods. There is a list going around based on one's that have reported problems and ones that haven't (yet).
