Pet parrots when treated correctly develop very strong relationships with their owners and dont want to leave, the mistake people make is thinking that this is what will keep them from flying away when taken outdoors. Dangerous thinking. Just like a person has to learn and develop key skills at/with specific schools to fly a plane safely so does a bird have to develop and learn key flight skills/behaviours at specific brain developmental stages. Pet indoor birds are not the same as properly trained free flight parrots, this is why they are lost or fly away, not because they want too but simply because they have zero skill base or ability to navigate or fly back. So they panic... flap harder and faster and off they go. Mine too, i prefer small parrots over the big ones..

you would think so but it would be extremely hard to do as to a outsider they look the same but to us extremely different. Plus the parrots know who their companions are :)
