Pet Shop Boys’ version of the “West Side Story” song also uses elements of another song from the musical, "I Feel Pretty", while the album version uses elements of "One Hand, One Heart" spoken by Chris Lowe.
This track is included in SMASH - The Singles 1985 - 2020. The complete collection of Pet Shop Boys singles in chronological order. “SMASH" will be released on Parlophone on June 16th in a variety of formats including 3CD box set, 6LP vinyl box set and digitally, as well as two special limited edition formats available exclusively via the Pet Shop Boys store - 6LP white vinyl box set and 3-cassette box set. A 3CD/2Blu-ray edition will also be released which includes the complete video collection of the singles plus extras.

Awesome video, lovely song! It's so beautiful when it turns colored. I love how you can feel Chris' and Neil's great dynamic throughout the video, their friendship is so precious. Lots of funny good moments here. And at 4:34 Chris was like: "Time to get out of these uncomfortable clothes!" (Curtain goes back up) "OH SHI-" 😂

В марте 1998 года посчастливилось смотреть этот концерт в Санкт-Петербурге в БКЗ ОКТЯБРЬСКИЙ. Это что то.... Словами не передать. Потом были с женой, мамой и сыном в 2009 в ЛЕДОВОМ ДВОРЦЕ. Всю семью подсадил на PET SHOP BOYS. Обожаю их. Слушаю с 1987 года. А потом был концерт в 2013, то же в БКЗ. Жаль больше не посмотреть их в России.

Я учила язык и практиковала произношение, взяв в качестве ориентира произношение Нила. В песнях у него прекрасная дикция, а вот говорит он иначе.

@@irinak4673 я по интервью могу понять, кто что говорит, местами. Тут мне "universal man Socrat " послышался 😁. Ну я недалека была..... от смысла разговора... Если там про эпоху ренессанса, как выяснилось, шла речь ( о чем я тоже не сразу поняла, т.к вместо renaissance мне тоже другое послышалось). То и про античность и Сократа логично... Вот так. Чисто интуитивно. А оказалось верно.

Bought this on CD single at the time of release. Banging tune. New puppy got the disc and case off the top of the hi-fi and chewed it a few weeks later. Luckily local record shop had another copy. CD has some real gem B sides on it.
