About feeding a fed horse: Horses are physically incapable of throwing up, meaning if you overfeed a horse, it will get colics. And colics can be lethal
While that's true, you're actually proving the effectiveness of the saying. You never say 'yeah, beat that dead horse!' you say 'don't beat a dead horse.' I hate peta with every bone in my body, but they weren't wrong with that. Yeah. Don't feed a fed horse. It won't do anything but cause problems.
i dont see why peta would have an issue with the "beat a dead horse" saying anyways. the point is that if its already dead, beating it isnt going to do accomplish anything. the saying isnt advocating for killing a horse, nor is it acknowledging that it was killed, just that it is dead already, could have been natural causes for all we know
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" is in reference to a horses age can be visually approximated by the length of its teeth and recession of the gums. It would be rude to look for a horses age if it was gifted to you infant of the gifted. Basically it means be grateful for what you get gifted even if it's not quite what you wanted.
It also means don't be suspicious that the gift is a burden which is more the line of the horse metaphors. Back when the saying came about that would be a shitty thing to do give someone an aged or ailing animal. So if you look at uts mouth you're telling your buddy you think he's a sheister
Since "don't beat a dead horse" means "don't overdo it", "don't feed a fed horse" would actually work. The only problem is, Peta would totally leave out the word "don't", so they are advocating to overfeed horses 😂
I knew to late the donate thing because I would put something like I just finish the infant blood donations so the vegan cow demigods can drink the blood of humans as we do with milk and peta would respond with thanks for your donation
Fun fact: PETA ran an ad with the sounds of owls screeching and graphic words about them being tortured. No trigger warning for people with animal death related triggers/discomforts
Oh yeah. I’ve seen Like two Reddit posts about neurodivergent people saying it triggered sensory overload meltdowns, and lots of people with ptsd which, so much for fighting against cruelty and lies by big corps pEtA🙃because funniest thing? those owls wherent even being tortured, that’s just how barn owls sound when vocalizing for any reason at all whatsoever because animals don’t exist to look cute and cuddly for your ego rubbing self righteous fetishizes pEeEeTa search it up they sound so human.. but so do (I think it’s) mountain lions in heat so..
The reason why barn owls sound like that is to sound like a prey animal in pain as they look for prey, it scares the dumb ones into running away and are therefore easier to hunt than if they’d just stayed undercover
Not supporting Peta but does it really need that? like come on if you need to have trigger warnings about that you will need to have trigger warnings about A LOT
"you started a new fetish" " it doesn't take much to start a new fetish" this one killed me, like, don't worry, furries didn't wait for peta to makes this real decades ago x'D
@@kevinseraphin5456Yep. Same here. And it also awakened lots of things in my childhood I can't get out my head... and sometimes wish I could... as I question myself... why...
"I mean, think about it, goat cheese" D... do they just think animals in general are gross? Are they eating vegan because animals are weird impure sacks of flesh to them? Because I have bad news about all those plants and HGT >_>
Don't get me started on the person they have that "Hates Farmers Now'. Like okay I guess she gets food from her own garden cause that vegan stuff shes eating? I guarantee you comes from a F A R M E R
@@amistake3010 my dude have you been misusing souls again? you've lost your form the first time and now again?! you know it's not easy to get your original form back
@@Shad0w-One Aha! Although PETA pointed out the thing with carnivorous coincidentally being an anagram of coronavirus, they are like a virus themselves!
I'm a vegetarian, and I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to industrial meat etc but... Please don't associate me with PETA, they suck and talk about the problem in the WORST way possible. The problem isn't eating meat itself, it's more that most of consumed meat comes from industrial farming, where animals are in cramped spaces, dying painfully, and all the stuff. I 100% encourage buying meat from productors who, for exemple, let their cows in fields, instead of a small rectangle. Same for all animals like chickens and pigs. While it is indeed true that it is nature for predators to eat preys, in nature, preys lived freely before death, they did not live confined to a single area. In short, I have nothing against eating meat and stuff, I am against treating animals like products from beginning to end.
I notice that often that PETA and the extremists like to blame people who are buying food to feed themselves and their families for everything instead of holding the companies in the industry responsible. It just shifts the blame from the company to the consumers and solves nothing.
@@goku-san Yeah absolutely, that's what I find really annoying with them. People need to talk about that more. There's a very clear and huge difference between meat from mass producing industries and meat from cows who lived in big space. Hunting for meat is probably the least cruelty free form of getting meat as the animal lived in the wild and experienced a quick and near painless death. I cannot stress this enough, people need to understand that the compnaies are the problem, not the act of eating meat by itself. Sorry if I repeat myself a lot or sound weird, I just don't get to talk about it a lot and since it's important to me, I like to take every occasion to release some of that feeling
to respect their wishes, i will now be replacing the saying "more than one way to skin a cat" with "more than one way for a peta member to put a dog down" to better reflect reality.
Ahhh Keelvin. Cowgirls are already a thing, and PETA might not have been invented it but they probably did spread it further. I'm sure if you search it you can find some cowgirl images that you might not like. I know about cowgirls because they're actually popular enough that people make memes about them.
I have a question. PETA videos showed them with pets especially a cat and I want to know what do they feed animals. Cats and dogs are carnivors and taking meat from the diet would lead to malnutrition. So if they feed there cat chicken how would they get that without killing the chicken. Let me know if im overthinking it or if you know how any PETA members can follow their own logic without abusing their pets.
So, in any way you see it, they're hurting animals, even if we don't care, but it's simply a point against them that we might need to use a day, interesting.
The next video is most likely gonna be a PETA iceberg video. I think the video should add the fact that Tara Strong (yes, the voice actress) is with them. Sad but true.
I remember scrolling through my tiktok, getting reccommend a peta video of someone throwing a puppy. No warnings at all. Took my a few days to recover from it
You see, telling people to not do some things is actually more harm than good. If cows aren’t milked, they get infected. If sheep aren’t shorn, their wool grows out until they can’t stand. And eating an egg isn’t killing a chick since the egg hasn’t been fertilized, assuming you bought eggs from the store or picked them from a hens-only coop.
I'd also assume there's a time limit of when a rooster can fertilise an egg. Like,if you preserved an egg for years,I can't imagine it'd be able to be fertilised
2 things peta don't understand, 1 cows need to get milked it literally helps them and relaxes them. 2 Sheep need to get sheared or they grow into a fuzz ball and die from overheat, so uh yes great way to save them animals
"Do you complain that Buffalo sauce isn't made from buffalos?" No, because every cultured person knows it's called Buffalo Sauce because it originated in Buffalo NY for Buffalo Wings.
4:47 The gift horse saying comes from older times, when people would check a horses age/condition by looking at their teeth. It would be a really rude thing to check the teeth of a gift horse obviously, so you should instead be thankful for the gift (horse) even if it might not be perfect.
As for feed 2 birds with one scone, if you want something better to feed birds that actually have nutrients and won’t cause any health problems (ie choking, or diarrhea) For songbirds, apple pieces, banana pieces, cleaned and baked eggshell, seeds (like melon, pumpkin, or squash), and raisins Waterfowl (like ducks or geese) Grains (like wheat or barley), uncooked oats, grapes, peas out the pod, mealworms, leafy greens (like lettuce), and vegetable peel or trimmings.
I can't wrap my head around those videos where the girl wastes meat and eggs. You'd think that if you wanted to take down animal product industries and preach veganism you wouldn't buy the very products you're preaching against.
Yes. I respect any vegan as long as they respect me. I have supported a lot of friends in their Lifestyles, be it religious food choices or privat ones for health or ethics. I never tell anyone what they should or shouldnt do. And i have some food choices that they respect. I dont eat added sugar. Thats that.
(Kinda) Fun fact: PETA is basically saying save ourselves since we humans are mammals since we have the same distinctive features as mammals, and mammals are a class of animals. So save yourself
4:15 as much as I hate to say it kind of makes sense To beat a dead horse There isn't a point it's already dead so beating it won't do anything To feed a fed horse Why will it want to eat it already has
My guess is the food she had is actually some of that beyondmeat and plant egg stuff. A lot of plant-based products look a lot like the real deal from afar.
The thing is if we lived in a vegan world the Economy would probably maybe hypothetically not exist? (Im only 12 though so correct me please) animal furs, meats, and clothes were a very important part of the economy
6:02 ok this is a vet entry box used to contain animals that are out of control i also wouldn’t be mad if my doctor was a dog i just image a dog getting a doctorate in the medical industry is kinda funny to me
So in Germany we say "Einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul" I think thats where they got the horse line from but in German it makes more sense and sounds a lot better
My thing is that it is all right until you start wasting food in excess amounts. The animal died for this. least you can do is eat all of it if possible.
that one woman on the left at 9:57 who “now hates farmers” does not at all realize that 1) farms are not strictly used for meat production, 2) not all farmers eat their own livestock, 3) farms can be purely used for crops,,, i can keep going but let’s be honest it’s not worth trying to explain it to her
I mean, I don't like the phrase, but feed a fed horse does make sense, not the part you are overfeeding the poor horse, but on the part of the phrase peta is trying to replace. They are still nuts tho.
