PETAN CONSOLIDATES STRAGEIC PARTNERSHIPS AT NOG DAY TWO
To consolidate strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders in the Oil and Gas sector, the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), led by its Chairman, Engr. Wole Ogunsanya FNSE, is help series of strategic closed-door meetings and interviews on the sidelines of the ongoing NOG Energy Conference and Exhibition taking place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Along with other PETAN EXCO, PETAN's contributions at the event strikes the advocacy bell loudly, sending the clear message of the new Board to utilize members' artillery of technical and technological know-how to bolster Nigeria's Oil Production in partnership with industry stakeholders .
PETAN Board members including PETAN Chairman and CCEO, Geoplex Drillteq Limited, Engr. Wole Ogunsanya; the Vice Chairman and CEO, Global Process and Pipeline Services Limited (GPPSL), Engr. Obi Uzu; PUblicity Secretary and CEO, GGI International Ltd, Dr. Engr. Innocent Akuvue; Assistant Secretary and CEO, Catobi Enterprises Limited, Dr. Okey Ukaegbu; Ex- Officio Member and Principal Consultant, Lonadek Global Services Limited, Dr. Ibilola Amao Ph.D FEI FNSE FIoD FAEng; Ex-officio and CEO, Topline Limited, Mr. Chinedu Maduakoh were in full and active attendance.
In addition to the Board Executives, other members of the Association participating as sponsors, speakers and delegates joined participants at the opening ceremony and VIP tour of the exhibition booths on Day two of the packed event, including but not limited to: Chief Joe Penawou of First Marine Engineering Services Limited; Dr. Ernest Azubialu-Obiejesi of Nestoil Limited; Chukz Eze of Oilserv Limited; Mr. Onyekachi Ekezie of Petro-dynamics Ltd.; Engr. At the opening ceremony attended by the Hon. Ministers of Petroleum Resources Oil and Gas, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo respectively; Special Assistant to the President on Energy, Mrs. Olu Verheijen; Senate Committee Chairperson on Local Content, Senator Natasha Akpoti; GCEO of the NNPC Ltd, Mr. Mele Kyari; CCE of the NUPRC, Engr. Gbenga Komolafe; amongst others.
In their keynote addresses, the challenge was thrown to respective stakeholders to declare war on the challenges bedeviling the Nigerian oil and gas industry and brainstorm on innovative, local solutions to ensuring that the country harnesses its resources for the common good, as we have what it takes to conveniently produce two million barrels of crude oil per day without deploying new rigs.
Relevant players were however challenged to act in a timely manner and collaborate towards reducing the cost of production in an attempt to boost the production to target levels.
