I’m a trans man and my dad worked on this!!! This makes me so happy I've been waiting for some sort of trans rep in any animation, especially being trans as a kid, and even if my dad just did some shading it makes me feel so supported that he worked on something that supports my identity!
How great to get another chance to see this film. I first saw it last March at the AAUW LUNAFEST film festival in Petaluma. Pete was there in person to talk to us about it too! I'm so excited about success of this film and the empowering message to kids.
As a producer of this film, I must say, it’s a masterpiece of cutting-edge technology mixed with a powerful personal story, and an insanely multitalented crew. As an lgbtq+ person, I must say, Thank you Pete 🤍🥹🏳️🌈
What a wonderful short film with a big impact. I loved it. I played in the Maitland little league with all the boys and I am sure I was accepted because of the unexpected heroes you speak of. You are a wonderful human Pete and we just love you. Congratulations to Brett and the team as well.
Another one? I'm getting sick of every movie about transgender kids being the same. Nothing unique here. They'd be doing more for the cause if they stopped making the same exact plot over and over in every movie and actually made something new. We've been getting this exact same plot since at least the 1970s or earlier. It's like they don't even care about the issue but are just grabbing the chance to get some clicks and some money by copy-pasting the classic transgender-kid movie plot.
