Usually you get 1 of 3 types of first time reactions to Pete and Bas; 1st, people think it's a joke ting, like ahh they got some OAP's to rap, bet they talking about how things were better in the old days, and music these days is crap, then they actually start listening and realise wait a sec these mans have BARS??? (btw some of this lot totally keep thinking it's a joke thing, and you can tell who it's coming to be because they don't actually listen to the bars, often even talking over them.) 2nd, people are simply amazed at what they are seeing and listening too and start to have doubts, like is it them really rapping? are they writing this? a label must be pushing them, they an industry plant; these guys can go one of two ways too, either they can't accept it and start hating on em, or they become accepting while saying things like 'they deliver it well but no way they writing this' 3rd, is people that seem to be more open minded and almost right away recognise the talent and get hyped right off. *this seems to be your category 2LM* Many MANY more tracks to check out from them, one word of warning however, they have gotten consistently better and better over the years, if you listen to their newer stuff first it might be a little underwhelming to then listen to the earlier stuff, although don't get me wrong, plenty of bangers in there in the back catalogue but just keep that in mind and look at the release dates of the tracks. To give you a contrast, Listen to 'Pint and a Fag' (fag means cigarette here in the UK btw) one of the early ones, then take in something like The plugged in with fumes (mid age at this point) and then listen to their latest like the Sindhu Sesh which is honestly a real technical showcase, it's almost like, look at all the technical tricks we can do, be it doubles and triples, be it old timey references, be it hand over bars, be it flow change ups, be it back to backing.
