Pete had such excellent vocals. Even in a little club with a shit sound system you can hear the power in it. As a gay kid in the Midwest in the 80’s the music of Dead Or Alive was a lifesaver for me. Let’s not forget You Spin put underground club music on the mainstream charts. This man was a groundbreaker and none of the haters can take that from him.
He was really sick of Spin Me, wasn't he? His energy picks up ten-fold when Brand New Lover starts up. In general though, he looks really unhappy in parts of this performance. RIP Pete!
He acted like a reluctant performer. As if he was so tired. Miss the energetic powerful performer that he was in the 80s. But of course he was much more younger then.
I wonder if he got sick of singing this song all the time. He has many other songs but this seems to be the most known. And his fame didn't seem to continue until the botched plastic surgeries.
@CarlBeep are gay clubs something wrong? he will play where he will be invited... he always wanted to become person he is right now, the outside matches the inside, and that's most important, he is happy with who he is, and i admire him. but maybe you are right, that it's important for an artist to know when to leave stage... however, i think he is loving to perform :) if he loves that, then he should go for it. he is legend for me anyway :)
Man he really looked horrible here, he destroyed his face with too much surgery, his face was really fucked up at the end of his life. Some surgery can improve your look, but too much can really destroy it !
I feel sad for him. He looks tired and weary. He's become more of a freak show than an 80's icon of late. I can't help but wonder if he would have been better off retiring from music in the early 90's and living off the royalties from you spin me round and buying a posh apartment in a secluded part of Liverpool with his then wife. I guess his image taste and hunger for fame was always going to override sense. Now he's doing gigs in gay clubs for a living. Life's not a dare game Mr Burns.
@@БубликПомидорович They never recaptured spin me popularity in the uk. Spin me was their only number one hit. Burns and Co did carry on but it wasn’t until Pete went on big brother uk that he really was back in the public again, albeit with a new face. Just think it’s sad how some of the stars from yesteryear’s lives pan out.
@@carlix8035 Pete Burns wasn't popular in the USSR(I think communist party prohibit him because of his behaviour) and in Russia too. My parents remember Freedy Mercury, Beattles, Modern Talking, C.C.Catch, Blue System, Pet Shop Boys, Pink Floyd, ABBA(it is 70's), Led Zepellin, Michael Jackson, but they did'nt know about Pete.
