Pete Doherty joins The Libertines at surprise gig in Margate

THE Libertines performed a surprise gig - on a bandstand in MARGATE.
Former wildman Pete Doherty joined up with co-frontman Carl Barat for the intimate concert.
It was a throwback to the rock four-piece’s noughties success.
The Kent seaside town has been a spiritual home for the band.
They own the Albion Rooms hotel nearby and sponsor Margate FC.
Locals snapped up tickets this week after finding out about the hastily arranged gig in the town’s The Oval bandstand Wednesday (Aug 17).
Only a few hundred people saw the Don’t Look Back into the Sun band.
Doherty, 43 - who battled drug demons throughout his career - now lives a quiet life in Etretat, Normandy, France with wife Katia de Vida.

I really don’t get the hype with this band. They’ve always been shite, there lyrics are shit and they can hardly play there instruments. Even in there prime which is well past I think it was more a case of it was cool to like them rather then people actually thinking they were good.

totally true bro, they are so bad it's embarrassing, i watched another video with Pete 'playing' the guitar and 'singing' he could not play a single tune, he just couldn't play, and his singing was so awful i had to stop watching.
