Just been watching this after seeing Pete comment on Insta......brought back loads of memories! I remember going to the skate shop in Hitchin around '88 for my birthday........got the Schmitt Stix Miller with Bullets and Gullwings. Loved that deck, it was so flippy.....big nose for the time too!
Those nose guards that clip at the front of the boards were naff junk that were on the budget boards from the market back in the day. The one he has on his deck in that ad is a proper nose bone that you would have on pro decks for ramp use back in the day.
This was class! Used to love looking at the Deathbox ads in the mags in the late 80's and always wanted a Mr Punch deck but never got or saw one in person. I will get a reissue Mr Punch deck 1000000%
Pete blew our minds when he came over to the island of Jersey with Matt McMullen sometime around 1990. He was the first and only skater to ever rip our vert ramp to shreds properly. Great memories, cheers Pete!
Thanks for getting Dossett on. Very impressive vert skater and really stylish back in the day, had a big influence on my vert skating. Seems humble grounded, no ego.
I had 2 or 3 Pete Dosset Boards. Deathbox were so cool back in the Day. Best i remember when i started skateing every one had Deathbox decks. Loved this interview. Great to see Pete alive + well + in good health 35years on.👍🫖🇮🇪
My mate Zippy stole Pete's Smith glove after he left it on the platform of the Leamington Spa vert ramp in 1990. Think he still has it. He keeps it locked in a glass case and treasures it. Pete, if you want it back, I can give you his mobile number. 😂
FOR FUCK SAKE.. "Was it Ali or Sean doing the first 540" ? Try doing some research. It's in RAD mag. BUT... Pete claiming the Rom one in, "I think 1986".. I'd like to see that photo, and the board he's on, as that pre dates mine by a few years, (and Alies by a lot more).
