❤ this Track still makes me loosing time and space …just melting in endless wave of trance …wow thanks Sisters and Brothers for the best times we had together ❤
Heard this track for the very first time 3 days ago in my favorite german techno club and it send me absolutely flying. Im so glad I was able to shazam it. I thought this must be a new release of a mastermind who managed to accurately capture the current techno vibe. And now I'm here, only to find out that this track is almost 30 years old. This completely blows my mind.
This was in my youngest raving Time. Loaded with some good E's to be able to get the full magic of this song. I wish i can get back in Time and stay there in a loop.
SO UNIQUE ! ! ! It NeVeR gets old.... It builds and builds and builds and builds and builds..... just like Two full moons and a trout or Gravitational arch of ten. Love such long & quality intros.
Intro: "And it is good that not all are roses, that not all are lotuses. But something very mysterious is happening here, Darius, you can see: all kinds of people are here, from almost every country, from every religion, and nobody teaches them to be tolerant and nobody teaches them to be respectful of the other's religion. These things are simply not talked about, and still nobody is intolerant. In fact, nobody thinks in terms that the other is other. This is a totally different vision. My approach is that you have to drop -" Outro: "not to imbibe tolerance, not to imbibe a certain synthesis, manipulated, man-made -- you have to drop this whole nonsense of the American way of life and the Indian way of life and the Chinese way of life. You have to drop this whole nonsense that "I am a Hindu, Mohammedan, Parsi, Sikh." You are just a human being! Maybe your colour is different -- so what? It is good that there are people of different colours, different flowers. Your hair is different -- good! It makes life more worth living, more interesting. The variety gives richness."
Remixed countless times, nothing comes close to this original. I wonder if Pete Lazonby knew at the time he had created something as wonderful. Carl Cox Fact mix in '95 propelled this everywhere.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Proper trance before it went commercial. Arpeggiated synths and ten minute drum rolls. as someone already mentioned, lovely intro and when then that kick drum burst in, the club would shake. !! que Sasha please. hmmmm
@@thecallawaykid1763 you know what i mean. theres always been genres. but i agree back in the 90's it wan't so fussy. just good music. remained underground
A sample with the lenght of around 5 seconds make this tune so unforgettable. Here is the source > Fountain of Salmacis by GENESIS. LAZONBY did a brillant job with this! Five stars + ! The interesting thing is - he sampled a sample because the original was played on a MELLOTRON. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mellotron
Classic and best mix, another reason the mid nineties was so good for progressive house. Always turned the bass right up when playing it as it drops in like a beast at 3:33 and would thump through a club. Incredible intro.
I don't get it. This is just the first 30 seconds of Fountain of Salmacis by Genesis played on a loop for 11 minutes with a trance beat in the background. Do they make money off this?
This is a newer remix which was released in the year 2000. The original mix, which is the one in this video, was released in 1994. www.discogs.com/Lazonby-Sacred-Cycles/release/50835
Remember HR3 Clubnight (DJ radio show) in Germany - the mostly tracks are from early / mid 90's. ;) 2000 is definitevely not the correct date of this tune.
Too long for you and no one else. The intro is the only part that hasn't aged and is a significant chunk of the reason for its long term stand-out success. The exception to the rule is always where its at. Conforming copycats are artless parasites and their work fades quickly over time.
