Met Pete Nice in Atlantic City in 92 or 93. He was sitting by himself in a casino restaurant, and I was his waiter. No crew, no homies, no girls. Just him. He was quiet and chilling. I talked to him for a few minutes after he finished up his meal. Asked when 3rd Bass would be putting out another album. He kinda smiled and said it wasn't happening anytime soon. Kind of when I figured out the group was no more. He signed a doily for me. Wish I had it still.

I cannot listen to Derelicts of Dialect enough. I listened to it SO many times the year it came out. At least once a year, I revisit it and listen nonstop for about 2 weeks.

This was so good.. RIP DOOM… finally subscribed to JuanEp… and it was really nice to have the Prime Minister tell a few stories from the Golden Era.

Many years back I realized Doom was in KMD from a Vibe magazine. I loved KMD as a kid, then got a whole new world from Doom. It was awesome

Peace, 7! Keep listening. Even though, he was an Ansaar, he drops jewels of 120 in his rhymes, real subtle shit. That and he likes to switch perspective from 1st to 3rd person a lot and quickly. That turns off a lot of people cause they want something linear or spoon fed.

Pete is authentic. He is who he is and he doesn't try-hard like others.
