How sad that the present younger generation is still struggling against their polluting elders, who are actually the kids he was talking to then. He was so far ahead of his time. And no one listened. They’re still not really listening.
Best tribute to the Real Pete Deuel that I have seen. Listening to him speak about what is important to him and the future puts so much doubt in my mind about his suicide. He did not sound like a person ready to give up. So very sad.
I think Pete was trying his best to hang on, but the night he died he was very drunk and arguing with his girlfriend. His family and friends believed it was an impulse and not a planned suicide. And they don’t think it would have happened if he’d been sober.
This coming from a troubled mind. You can listen for a few minutes and you know. Speaking of suicide in 1963. Then carried thru on it some 8 or 9 years later. TROUBLED MIND. Should have been its name.
