This was an AMAZING ERA, and I’m so grateful I was able to witness it. During this era they rapped about politics, education, loving yourself,and understanding your history. All of that is now a thing of the past. 🥲

Hip-Hop was born on August 11, 1973 in Bronx, New York. Hip-Hop today is a $10 Billion a year industry. And to think, we own the smallest percentage, earn the least and have no power. We loss big.. 😩

October3074 Ya know, it's up to us, people that know the Golden Age of Hip Hop to do something about it. Call the radio stations and demand that they spin actual Hip Hop. Crowd fund labels dedicated to what we consider authentic Hip Hop and whatever else we can do to revive the medium. Were not going to get any where doing the old man voice, "why when I was your age" etc.

@91Definite
@91Definite 9 месяцев назад
Rumors was it was cause of the business. Pete Rock got producer credit while CL Smooth got nothing. And both of them had separate crews and shit and basically telling them shit. A lot of people got in CL Smooth’s eat without CL Smooth having a heart to heart with Pete Rock. Both albums were great but Elektra really didn’t know how to market Pete Rock and Cl Smooth projects with their singles. They didn’t do numbers like that, they didn’t know how to sell them. They still cool with each other today but business wise they can’t work with each other

@@91DefiniteI think it may have been creative differences as well both of them wanting to pursue their own individual things although I wasn't there.
@91Definite
@91Definite 4 месяца назад
@@musiclover-cn7tb I don’t think it was just that, cause it was rumors that once they broke up CL Smooth had deals on the table. Who knows if he was looking into them or he just ignore them cause he was so hurt breaking up with Pete Rock. If I was CL and solo deals are on the table for me? I wouldn’t feel right without my Producer my DJ and my brother. And if I do take the deal and I get in the studio to make a single or an album these other producers in the studio with me? Don’t understand my formula but my brother do and he’s not there 💯.

@@musiclover-cn7tb I know I heard that shit, Charlie Brown had a big ego and wasn’t thinking about the group. I don’t think Busta had no problems with Charlie Brown if anything he started it. But it was also another rumor that he was messing with Charlie Browns sister 🤷🏾‍♂️!
