He's precise, he's relaxed, has incredible limb independence, great flams, speed, endurance, playing for the music, call and response, fantastic dynamics... he's clearly a master of the drums. He's absolutely mastered them.

No bass drum triggers here folks. Also for the people who think (non musicians) drum triggers cheating they are NOT cheating because you still have to play the drums in time. Triggers are only for volume/sound purposes. If a drummer messes up on drums with triggers in place you can actually hear the drumming mistake better with them than without them.

Al final todos somos extremadamente criticos.. Desgraciadamente la gran mayoria no podríamos tocar ni una sola pieza de mozart ni tampoco una de morbid angel.... El gran detalle radica en que somos sumamente efectivos en ver la paja en el ojo ajeno y no apreciamos la viga que tenemos en el ojo propio.

Most of the comments here are from people who probably live across a music shop were you can buy any drum set at 200 bucks. If you would have any idea what it means to live in Central America and try to perform and instrument, and make it in the music industry. Not only El Salvador is proud of Pete Sandoval, for he is an example for all Central Americans. One thing we have learned across the years, the instrument does not make the musician, but the other way around, cheers....

But what do I know. I worshipped Pete before he did the Drum Check solo track (around Blessed Are the Sick). I learned my pedalling on a kit with two bass drums, so I did my blast alternating feet. When I learned to do a nice double bass pounding, I just added snare to it, and cello, I got the last fast blast. :D

Metal is the one most like classical in many concepts than any other type of music. Most pop and rap fans I know don't like metal or classical with a few exceptions of what they're familiar witht. Metal and classical both have many elements that are a lot to comprehend. Replace the strings here with distorted electric guitars and with Pete the Commando you got some metal my friends.

There are do many fantastic skin batterers in the world but Commando has to be the greatest of all time. He can do anything, in any signature and guys are still trying to emulate him till this day. Every legit blast is an homage to Pete. Met him once at extreme steel in Long Beach, cool as fuck. Just a beast of a man. Morbid angel is lost without him
