At 3:12 where Pete's holding up and looking at an acoustic guitar, for just a moment I was thinking he might bounce it off his head lols. Best wishes, Pete! Thrilled you're making music and including us along for the ride!
The '89 tour was KILLER, FYI. I am so glad to see this vlog, and to see Pete well and in good humor. Mighty, mighty love and best wishes from the girl in the 7th row.
Thanks Pete! You've been around all my life and I thank you for the great music that you've given us, music is the sound track of our lives and I'm glad your part of it!
Thankyou Pete! I've got my tickets for Oct. 21 Vancouver, and I am so grateful for one more album! I became a WHO fan back in '78 when I was 14. Been a first day buyer, solo LPs included, ever since. Thankyou again for the soundtrack to my life , even though (ahem) you were a face in a magazine when I was still playin' with plasticene.....Love ya Mr. Townsend, absolutely love ya. Best Wishes !
Fantastic Pete! Thank you for this blog! Fortunately, Pino is not involved elsewhere in time and gives you the foundation for your songs. Very nice that you look so good and healthy!
This is so great.... My all time favorit band (and persons) are doing a new album, and letting us fans take part of it via vlogs! -Tnx a million Pete! -Keep them comin' :) -AP from Norway!
Hi Pete - really looking forward to hearing the new album when its all completed -am very excited-have been a huge Who fan for years -all the best -cheers Andrew
A fleeting glimpse of Peter, "bloking around in a flat" whilstfully spouting an upstanding pitch, to encopurage the troups to be geared up for the task. British Grove Studios, a "flat," which houses somewhat elaborate compartments for to make recodings, and filled with professional equipment, appears to be keenlt meetimg Pete's idea of pip and taste for to arrive at an end product which is properly produced: How about a cigar.
This is great. I am huge Who and Beatles fan and am sooooo sick of all of the RU-vid videos about the Beatles in the studio. You’d think they are the only band who’d ever recorded an album. You never hear about The Who or The Stones in the studio. So, this great.
What a great idea to blog the recordings and give insights for those who are interested in the process as much as the end product. Hopefully we can learn from it. Best wishes for a much awaited new album.
Pete we see your not finding the distant to the stage too far !!! Long live you brother!! and long live fuck’n rock !!! We know Hiwatt’s rule and P 90’ SG’s !!! Fierce Band !!! Fierce Sound ! Fierce Guitarist !!!!
And Keith. Kenny was OK as a studio drummer, but live? There was, and never will be another like Keith. He MADE The Who, just as much as John, Pete, and Roger. Granted, Zak is good, but he is no Keith Moon.
Robbie Mcintosh was a dear mate of mine starting in Rome thru to AWB. Haven't seen Rowan or Edith since he was born, so please convey my love and peace to them both. Martin F. ❤👍👍🇬🇧 Edit. Oops, could be a different Robbie McIntosh....... the R M i knew was the drummer with AWB.🤔🤔
Wow a 52 telecaster can't wait to see you play it Pete, Would like to see you use an SG sometime for old times sake!, Nobody sounds or plays like Pete Townshend that's why he is one of the best.
